Hey guys, I'm assuming I place this thread here as it entails to performance. I'm trying to find a good site with the exact specs for a stock Tl (specificly 05 AT).

and that is saying it has 270HP, but the brochure at my dealership said 258.... I'm pretty sure

anyone know any reliable sites? or if this site is telling the truth, and im just going nuts?

You probably looked at 2006 TL brochure, I believe starting in 06 the SAE power rating standards changed for every car out there not just TL, that's why you see lower power rating for 06 TL although the engine itself hasn't changed and the factory output hasn't changed since 2004 when the 3G TL first came out.

 

Please learn how 270 became 258 in the big TL hp change for 2006 thread and the SAE new horsepower rating system 3G Garage #A083 thread in the 3G Garage.

And I'm moving this thread to the main forum since it deals with specifications more than just performance.

 

^^^ SAE testing changed. 04-05 270hp and 06+ 258, but same engine, same performance.
