Still no problems!

Well, our 2005 6MT at 35,000 miles is still flawless.
We have not had a single problem with the car, not even a bulb out yet.
I did just get a recall notice for the power steering hose.

So far, this has been the best car (reliability wise) I have had.

When I look at the car choices out there, I would buy the TL again, but I couldnt, as they dont make the 3.2 with the 6 speed manual anymore....

I can say the same thing about my car.

77,000 miles and not a single problem (excluding rattles)

Transmission is feeling weaker as the months goes on; I do have 5AT though.

these are really good cars- just take basic care of it and use the right gas-
its time for a seafoam treatment at 30k

Get the PS hose recall taken care of immediatly-
its possible for the hose to break a fitting a shoot flammable fluid at the hot exhaust
Underhood fires are a major bummer IMO
Register with acura and always be informed of recalls and stuff
1-800-382-2238 x5 and http://owners.acura.com/registration...erstepone.aspx
need your VIN for both- can store your radio nav security codes there too

5AT car trans feels sluggsh? how exactly- may be `goodwill` warranty coverage in your future

Nice to know! Same here, 2006 with 29k (used to have one hell of a far commute for a job) and it's running like a champ! Never had 1 single issue

@01tl4tl

Every once awhile, I get a clunky / hard shift. To me, sounds like the transmission is on it's way out.

Have a few minor issues overall but I am touching 35K and doing great in general too......DEFINITELY better than I did with my ol Bimmer! I see a lot of people having nightmarish problems with their cars.......I don't get it? Is my impeccable maintence the factor or maybe I'm just lucky?

Yes, the worst new or used car I ever owned.
It was a wonderful car, just something was always broke.

It was a 2003 6 cyl auto trans model, garage kept.

The problems....

Day 2, rad fan temp sensor shoted (in winter), electric fan running on high all the time.

12 months, evap solinoid leaks (hard starting after getting gas), replaced with a GM part.

13 months, new rear brake pads needed.

15 months, trans ecu fault, traced to it being filled with water, its under the rugs inside the car, water got in the cabin air intake (leak).

14 months, evap system leak, never found the problem,

22 months, fuel pump worn out (18,000 milers), vdo made a bad batch.

24 months, trade in on a 2005 TL 6mt in white, end of car problems.....

The TL is a year older than the passat was when we got rid of it, with a big zero for problems so far, no rattles, no oil use (unlike the passat V6), no electrical problems.

I did like the passat more, but its just not worth it!

I had an 03 Passat too 4Mo .. never had a problem with it outside of the oil seals under warranty..

TL is an 06 and so far .. leater seat part replaced .. HFL failed and now replaced ..

VW had superior leather .. fit and finish .. paint .. heated seats ... and a few other things I miss but the TL has its plusses also.
