Steering wheel extension for TL?

I'm 6"1 and could benefit from a better driving position in my 2006 TL, I feel like i'm reaching for the steering wheel due to having long legs.
Does anyone know if there's any steering wheel hub extension that allows me to keep the stock steering wheel and airbag?

Thanks,

Cristian

What thoiboi said; when I bought my 2006 back in May the "Driver 1" key was set to move the seat so far back I couldn't reach the pedals with my tippy-toes (based on the seating position, I'm guessing the original owner was an easy 6' 7"). The steering wheel had also been telescoped all of the way out, wo when I moved the seat forward to reach the pedals, the steering wheel was practically touching my chest (well, not quite that close, but you get the idea).

I'm with thoiboi here....Are you a laid back pimp seat type driver? That is the only way I can see at 6'1" not reaching the wheel properly. I'm 5'10" and I have the wheel pushed in as far to the dash as I can. I had a friend who is 6' that had a TL and his driving position wasn't that far off from mine.

guess I should explain myself
not driving pimp style and I can't say I can't reach the steering wheel comfortably because at 6"1 that's definitely not a problem BUT I do like to have my legs extended and still have the steering wheel close enough that I don't have to reach forward in harder turns. Right now If I push the seat back to extend my legs comfortably (long legs..) I feel I don't have good control of the steering wheel so I just sit closer with my legs bent more which is not comfortable for me.

I'm probably a bit spoiled by the sporty driving position I created in my Boxster with the lower sitting bucket seat and the 6 inch extension that allows me to extend my legs and still have the wheel in easy reach.

in any case.. wondering if anyone knows of any extension I could use with the stock steering wheel, like the one I have in the photos attached.

thanks!!

I think that is the first time I have ever seen an actual extension in a modern car. I have no idea if anything like that is available for the TL. I would be worried about the various controls in the wheel...not sure how that wiring would extend.

I know you mentioned you were looking for something that fit the stock steering wheel, but if it comes down to it you could get aNRG hub and have a spacer machined to push the wheel back exactly to where you want it.

Best of luck to you on the search!
