Start up screen of MID

Once a while, when the car starts, the upper central console will keep displaying 'Phone', and no CD/XM channel info. The MID screen will display the phone signal and battery only. I can go thur the other MID screens and see the miles and temp with the info button, but then it will go back to the same screen again after few seconds. Is that normal? It is not like an 'in use' screen. I can still use the voice activation and listen to the audio ... Anyone had the same problem?

Yes, when I start my engine, HFL info screen is frequently the first display on MID, which shows my singal strength and battery life. All MID/Navi/Audio features are working. But if I don't hit "talk" and "cancel", this screen will not go away.

Not many ppl have this issue, and the dealer has no clue what's going on. However, this doesn't bother me now.

There is a simple fix. Switch to Verizon and you wont have to worry about the HFL at all

I have this too. T610/Tmobile if that helps.

You'll also need divine intevention to get the car and the phone to sync up if you start/receive a call before putting the key in the ignition.

So far, I always have to turn the phone off and back on again.

I have the same problem with S/E T616. This keeps bothering me, but not sure if this is the problem due to the phone or TL...

Thinking about it more, the fact that I cannot turn off Bluetooth using the phone menus ("connection busy") tells me that (even with no call in progress) this is more likely an issue that SE can address.

I think I might give them a call.

"I think I might give them a call."

Ok, that was a waste of time.
