Which spoiler to get?

Hey guys other than an oil change and some PIAA wipers, I haven't done anything to my car. I'm looking to add the dice adapter and a spoiler ASAP to start with. I originally (before you guys influenced me) wanted the wing spoiler, but the more and more I look the TL-S spoiler is growing on me. I'm now leaning towards the Type-S spoiler but wanted to see what you guys think! If anyone would like to add pictures of theirs it would also be appreciated (I've went through the whole "Modded TL" thread and got the links so I could compare but more pictures would help. Thanks, Chris!

So you can get a feel on the style of my car, I have:
2004 NBP TL
Plans are: Aspec kit, type-s tails, new exhaust pipes.

Get the deck lid spoiler like mines! It will look hot, especially on a NBP!!

It's the same one like the Type-S spoiler that comes standard on that one.

Go for the Typse S spoiler. It looks classy. Look into a roof spoiler for your TL too.

Get the deck lip spoiler that's standard on the Type-S. The winged spoiler are a little to boy racer and kind of 90s. Most new cars in the sports luxury segment comes with the deck lip spoiler.

I'm on the fence, and I have a wing. I think it looks good on NBP, and I personally don't think it looks too ricey. I like the lip, but I don't think it makes the car stand out from all the other four door sedans on the market. I'd actually like something in-between these two.

One thing about the wing though, it gets in the way when you're washing the car...

Do you guys think the type-s spoiler will add enough to make it worth the money? I'm afraid it may be a little small...

Its sleek, sexy and classy... the wing spoiler gives it and old accord look... and the oem spoiler seems incomplete since it doesnt wrap around the trunk door

Newbie here and I am trying to make a spoiler decision also.

So you guys are saying that the 2007 type-S spoiler will work for a 2008 base TL with navi?

I just don't want to mess this up and order the wrong thing and the group buy price looks great.

Just picked up my 2008 TL with Navi on Friday afternoon (Carbon Bronze Pearl) and I am in love.

Thanks,
Anna

My TL posted above is a base 07 same as 08.. ... here are the challenges with the type s spolier...

It has 7 clips versus 2 bolts the oem has. the oem comes with a template, because the type s is a part rather than an accesory it doesnt. My challenge was that the types is not sold in my color so i got it white diamon pearl and had the dealer paint it and install it... i got the spoiler for 120 on ebay and painted and isntall for 200...lucky find. It will def work with with your base o8 and if you have one of the type s color... your lucky

Just purchased the JDM roof spoiler... waiting for it to ship and arrive.
Tobad it's not already painted...then again I want it black.

Next in line is the CSL spoiler or decklid spoiler.. anyone have opinions on which would flow with the JDM roof spoiler?
Not really feeling the factory wing--but I love huge wings like the EVO8.. or the Mugen RR

Another vote for the Type S deck lid spoiler. Simple, clean yet aggressive

What's the CSL spoiler? I don't remember seeing that!

I have a bodyshop across the street (my neighbor). He did my last spoiler install for like 15 bux if I remember correctly! I think I'll use the tape method to start and if it doesn't work I'll run it over to him.

Thanks for the link, those are nice, but I'd rather not paint it and I'm not huge on carbon fiber on the exterior of the car...MAYBEEE for the front lip.

ua6spec is selling it. It's a custom lip spoiler that sticks off the car a bit. If you are interested, jump on it, I doubt he'll be selling them forever.

Thats what I was thinking, I just wish there were more pictures of the CSL to convince me to actually go buy it

Thank you for this information. I just placed my order through the group buy for the Carbon Bronze.

I called a body shop and said they wouldn't have a problem with installing it and touching up the paint around the holes. Said it would take a couple hours.

Yeah but I need more pictures from further away to see how it flows with the rest of the car.

+1, that's why I might just go with the type-s, why not go that route?
