Question Speed Sensitive Volume?

Is there a way to activate speed sensitive volume?

My 03 Passat had it, but it wasn't in the manual. I had to hit some button combo to activate it.

Any idea if the 04 TL has this feature?

I hate the speed sensitive volume feature. The volume control is right at your fingertips.

I agree....my '00 Tahoe has it and i find it annoying....cabin noise does not increase that much where you need to adjust the radio....and even if it did the controls are on the steering wheel.

Whether you like it or not isn't really relevant.

I'm looking to see if I can do it!

Asked an Acura tech about it...it does not exist...the effort it takes to hit the steering wheel volume controls with your fingers isn't all that much anyway

The only Honda vehicle to have it was the Honda Prelude from '97 to '01. Acoustic Feedback System is what it was called I think.

AFB provides its outstanding sound quality by using small built-in microphones in the rear speakers to sample ambient cabin sound, measure it against the original electronic signal and adjust for any distortion.

The TL is quiet enough that this isn't necessary.

It DOES add a lot of complexity to the audio system. This kind of product for commercial venues costs hundreds of dollars. Deducing the ambient noise from the total sound inside the car is not trivial. Better to spend the money on the DTS and good speakers.
