A-Spec install

Just for a good laugh i called my Local Acura Dealer to see how much it would cost to put on the full A Spec Kit.

he quoted me
200 -front
200 -rear
133 -side for Each
----------
666 bucks plus tax.

I then laughed and said thanks and hung up.

Either 1st responder thinks that's for parts and labor or isn't in tune with how much it should cost to install a kit.

Even for one hour of tech labor for the front, one hour for the back and one hour for the sides, at the stealership rate, it should be what, $400 at most? Ridiculous just the same, but not $666. Next time, if you can keep from laughing, mention that the Acura forum will get a kick out of their estimate and say you'll be glad to name drop for highway robbery.

Edit - some installation docs here: https://acurazine.com/forums/showpos...96&postcount=1

yeah that was acura's price for installing it. I was getting lazy and wanted to see how much it was going to be. But i guess i know what i am doing this weekend now. I should just get my buddy's shop to do it but they never done a TL kit, so i just recruited some friends that done it kits to there cars. Should be a good learning experience anyway

The sales guy (A very good friend of mine) from the Honda dealership that sold me the 2007 TL had hooked me up with their own (third party) body shop and only charge me $145 plus a case of (Canadian) local beer and did a real excellent job. Even offered to paint the black huge rear middle casing (whatever whatchamacallit) on the rear bumper to blend with my WDP next time and said that he'll do it for $100.00 only because the WDP color is one of the hardest paint to mix.
