So much hate for a Type S

Someone cracked my rear window for no apparent reason. nothing has been stolen. someone just thought it would be fun to do so. no other cars in my block has been damaged. WTF is wrong with these people now a days?

how much would it cost to get a new window installed?
is the factory alarm good enough? the car was parked in front of my house i didnt hear a thing since this probably happened around 4am or so.

Factory alarm is okay if your car is stock, but if you'll like most of us on here. Who can't leave the car stock, I say invest in an aftermarket 2-way alarm .

Sorry to hear.. I hate leaving the car out in the open like that, no matter what type of neighborhood you're in.

Where was it parked? I've been contemplating installing security cameras overlooking our driveway, we've been broken into twice (but once a car was left unlocked)- and we do not live in a bad area.

Stock alarm doesn't have glass sensor. You'll have to go aftermarket like SSM4DR had stated. When you get a replacement, make sure it says temperlite rather than herculite. When my car was broken into, the geniuses at Safe Lite thought they were one and the same.

not really. I never pissed anyone off and i dont really know anybody where i live. I guess the only reason they hate me is because i drive a nice car. lol

Check your insurance card. Whatever you have listed as a deductible for comprehensive is what you will have to pay to fix it. The insurance company will pay the rest. Most window replacement guys are mobile and will drive out to your home or work to do it. My comprehensive deductible is $50.

Probably the amount of factory tint that comes with it. When I had my window retinted with 35% like the rest, it just seems to let in more light than the OEM glass. Both are tempered glass.

Sorry to hear that man. I've had my new TL for about a month and it has a nice sized scratch on the back right side right behind the door. About a nice sized foot long scratch looks like someone keyed it.

Only reason I'm not pissed about it is because It's going to be fixed under dealer warranty.
