Driving is fun and the TL is a fun car to drive. Stay safe and don't do anything wreckless in your "Spirited" runs.

Just drive slowly and the MPG will climb on its own. I get about 24-26 1/2 highway 1/2 city with somewhat normal driving. I cleared my ECU the other day and have been a bit more spirited, still got 22.

seafoam the fuel injectors.. that means seafoam in the gas tank.

I personally seafoam my injectors every 1500 miles.. and yes I do feel a difference.

I still have a blast in my TL-S. Best car I've ever owned. I average 23/24 MPG with mixed highway and city driving. Make sure you have a fresh air filter and check your tire pressure.

I have an 08 TL Type S. Some days I feel the same way too. If you drive highway I have been getting about 8 litres per/100km. That is about 30mpg. If I hit the gas and want to have some fun. See that number hit the range of 11 or 12 litres/100km lol.

Yea I got 32 mpg on a hour and a half trip on the highway sunday, now its at 19-20 cause I do alot of city driving at I speed a little lol, I plan on slowing it down, does using the sport shift make the mpg not show accuretly? I feel like it stays at 19 when I use it, may just be my driving.

WTF? It's probably best not to elaborate on this level of immaturity except to say. High performance car - low performance driver.

i love my Tl-s for all the luxury features that my previous car didnt have. I am not impressed with the performance but i didn't buy it for that aspect. I also like how i get complemented by older people on the car i drive, makes me feel like i am stepping up in this world.

Good plan. PA roads are terrible in the winter for car lovers. I wish that they wouldn't mix rocks in with the salt, they are murder on the paint.

It's been a year and a half that I bought my Type S.

Best car I've ever owned too.

Still love the car.....

Still love to drive the car.....

The girlfriend now hates the car from time to time-even though she pushed me to get it.

Maybe that's why they say.....

ACURA....Advance.

Its all good. I did it on a dry day with no wind. I have never had any tickets from anything. so i think of myself as a good driver, however if im gonna put this much down on a car im gonna enjoy it goddam it, we have only one life to live and its very short. And i don't speed all the time FYI, i see a cop on the road like every mile i drive.

HA! that doesn't justify you going 130+ mph. You have never had any tickets because you got lucky. If you had gotten caught going over 130, you would've had the car impounded. Not getting any tickets doesn't make you a good driver.

I know plenty of people who have no tickets, yet still SUCK at driving.

And you're right. Life is short. Don't try to make it even shorter by doing dumb things.

it's kinda strange that most of you TL owners think that going 135 is such a bad, or immature thing. well it IS with 5 people in the car and your 17!! I know old guys though that drive way faster than that in their BMW's, or Benz's, or Vette's,... but not with a car full of people. I learned the hard way to never put others at the mercy of your driving abilities, no matter how good u might think they are. Even formula one drivers make mistakes...
I think the more rural area you live in, the easier it is to get away with such things, and the safer it is. I used to do that in my 4cyl accord when I was your age. In Kansas you can actually set your cruise at 110 with no worries on the interstate, if your tires and stuff are good that is!
I got my TL up to 150 the first week I had it, on a safe road with my buddy in his 350z right in front of me!! But the nearest house or car was 25 miles away and no passengers....good times! don't assume everyone in your car thinks that is fun, be safe man!

i love the car too. its been a year since i bought the TL, but i cant help but wonder why the 2006 TSX has a better looking odometer set up.and why did the TL finally get lights on the left/right side mirrors and fog lights in 2007 when the TSX had those features from the start???? The 3 circles on the TL looks soooo empty and so much dead space. The 3 circles design works for the RL IMO.
anyone agree?

Just to clear things up, everyone was fine with me driving this fast. I was just taking it for a test drive . By the way all of them drive quick/fast cars so they didn't mind it. You people need to grow some cojones. 2 of them drove 370s, 1 an S4, another a modded Audi TT, and my other friend had a Saturn Sky, so they all know whats its like to go that fast, and FYI i was going on a straight road, with NO one around me. Its not that complicated people.

and I know old guys who fell for the Nigerian email scams. Advanced age does not mean you aren't brainless.

I like going fast myself. I think speed limits should be much higher. At least 75 if not 80 on non-metro interstates. But if some dickhead flies by me at 130 and we aren't on a race track, I get pissed. I don't care how good of a driver you think you are, you aren't that good, and you can't predict what the people doing half your speed will do in front of you. You want to risk your own life, that's fine with me. Weed you out of the gene pool. You risk my life with your idiocy, and that's another matter entirely.
