Side mirrors get stuck

The forum search feature isn't working well on the iPad so sorry if this a repost....

I have an 08 and my mirrors get stuck on a regular basis when I go in reverse and they tilt. They will just sit there clicking. Is this a common problem? Is there a fix?

Thanks

Happens to me too, I imagine they need to be greased up because mine once did it on a cold day with nothing blocking them.

position sensors in the mirror themselves. they apparently go bad. just had both of mine replaced under warranty.

Good to know, thanks. I had my right mirror sit and click once and haven't tried using it in reverse since. Seems like an easy fix.

Take your control and move the mirror all the way to the top then all the way to the bottom , you may find that the glass was manually move off of center .. Sometimes this will cure it .. if it doesn't then its sitting at the lowest point already . Take your finger and push on the top of the mirror to bring it to center. Then try it.

A temporary workaround would be to put the mirror switch in the center position so the mirrors don't try to tilt in reverse.
