Depo and OEM.

if you search ebay, you'll come across these two.
i decided to go the DEPO route for my side markers. they had all 4 smoked sides for about 70 dollars.
Just the rear type-s OEM's were 90.

we also have a member on here by the name of AckTL05. He does custom heads and tails.
I would never tint my heads or tails, we're not in 1999 any more.

Search around this forum, many times people sell things on the black market.

If you wanted to go cheaper I can niteshade/tint your rear side markers or brand new type s rear ones would run $110 shipped.

I can black out your headlights and make you custom tail lights. I can color match them as well.

Have you had any problems with moisture getting in your DEPO side markers?

Do the clear crystal ones from uniquestyle look and fit "right"? You know what I mean, sometimes non-OEM parts just have that "not quite right" look/feel.

What part did you have to trim down? Also Do you know if the type-s are a direct fitment(even though they cost more), no mods/sanding needed? What type of tail lights do you have as well?

With OEM and DEPO, you might get a slight fitment issue.
How is the sidemarker held in place? a hole in the body of the car and the side marker utilizes a slightly lager plastic clips. Sometimes the plastic clips are a little to large and you just have to round off/shave off some. when you're hands on you'll realize which sides have to be shaved enough for clearance.

Hm I thought they might be ok on WDP. And also I'm cheap and I don't get why its $20 more for the smoked ones. I could always buy the clear ones and then smoke them if I don't like the clear look... or just bend over and pay the $20 extra.

inside the door panel is a trim, i suppose this trim helps keep dirt away when then window slides up and down.
ironically, this trim traps the dirt. When you lower your freshly tinted windows, the trapped dirt scratches your tint. there will be long vertical scratch marks.
My back window has a scratch.....

all i did was apply some felt to this trim. essentially the same thing as mole skin.

hmmmm they might look good on a WDP, im not sure. I knew the direction that I wanted to take my silver color and the clear sidemarkers didnt do it for me.

Yeah the smoked ones look really good in your pic. Clear would definitely look odd on silver.

It depends on the laws in your state. Many states allow white sidemarkers and parking lights but require amber flashers. Switchback LEDs meet this requirement, although they may not pass inspection as they are not DOT approved (I don't think any non-OEM LED exterior lights are DOT approved).

A larger backing clip into a small hole. so you would have to push from behind the marker to get it out.

see the square? there are two clips that push against the hole.
