Should I trade up to a Type S?

Hello guys, I have a little dilemma here and I need your assistance. I have an 04 AM TL /Nav with 95k miles on it. My AC recently went out and I was wondering if should just trade the car since I am getting a 08 WDP TLS for 22k with 57k on the clock. I was also taking into consideration I may have to do 105k service soon. The dealer has agreed to give to 10k my 04. Is the trade worth the 12K difference? I currently owe 7k on the 04. Thanks in advance for your opinions.

your trading for a slightly better version of the same car? I don't think 12K more for 25 more hp, quad exhaust, and some small tweeks are worth it. I would get a brand new car if I were you, type-s is great, don't get me wrong, but for a person who already has a TL, then it's not worth it. it's only worht it if your moving from a different car. I am going to hold out for a 4g type-s. ppl say there won't be one cuz the 4g already has 300hp and quad exhaust, and blah blah blah, but acura can still make a 4.0L 350hp-390hp type-s, with better exterior design (like getting rid of the beak and the trunk redesign, and putting some better looking quads!!!)and add some more features inside, like 7" monitor headrest's (like on the new 7 series) reclining rear seats (like the new toyota avalon) the add ons are endless.

I dunno, i would wait for a newer car if I were u, besides I've seen TL's last at least 150k miles even 200k. TL has a very modern look that will last a while, so i wouldn't worry about it.

I agree with him. In my case I traded my 08 Accord EX-L Navi 4cyl for an 08 Acura TL which is a major jump in power and features all for just a whopping $12/month more than the Accord. In the end, it's your decision...

I was in the same dilemma soon after buying my tl. I wanted the type s for the small little tweaks like the nicer interior and the slight increase in power etc.

But honestly another 12g plus you still owe 7g on your current tl. Not worth the added expense for a car that already has 60k miles and while be in the same condition as your current tl in 2 yrs.

I have a type s and I think depending on how much you want to spend you have three options 1st cheapest= keep your car closer to no car payment, 2nd= get the type s love it and have a car payment for a while, 3rd= get 2010 SH-AWD WDP TL with body kit 19" wheel upgrade, ebony interior, technology package, and Ron Jon grill and have the coolest/most expensive TL out there. P.S. get all season mats. I would go with 3rd option but I'm stuck with my Type S for now.

I've taken my Type-S to the dealership and had an 06 Loaner TL and it was terrible. Lol....okok, not that bad but I was use to the extra menus in my dash, extra buttons on my steering wheel, and actually the power felt similar to my Type-S. Good luck!
