Should I complete the 'look'?

So i ordered a pair of 07-08 TypeS headlight modules to install into my 07-08 base carbon grey.

Should I complete the look as in replacing the 07-08 tails and sidemarkers with those from a typeS as well? 07-08 tails are pretty nice already so not sure if i would bother...but i'd think the darker typeS tails would flow nicely with the carbon gray.

opinions?

What ever you feel like doing. its your car.
if you feel that it completes the look then go ahead and buy the remaining tails and sidemarkers.

another option for you is to go through AckTL05. He's a vendor on here and also he makes custom tails. if you want to stand out from the sea of type-s' go through Ack!

I always say the type s lights make a huge difference and are worth it. The side markers are a must! They will then match the fronts!

Exactly. 99% of the people that see your car aren't going to know the difference, so these mods are really just for you.

some pix to help the cause lol. tried to find carbon grey as best as I could:
but i am going to proceed with the headlight swap.. perhaps will hold off on the tails till summer time.

I guess my other question is.. does the typeS use the same corner bulbs/switchbacks as the base model since the reflector is half the size.

STOCK oem 07-08 base headlights

STOCK oem 07-08 typeS headlights

The base headlights have a dull white/light yellow (pretty ugly) light behind the diffuser; the type-s headlights have a bulb that shines amber due to the clear diffuser.

1157.

need some help here.

1. how to unplug the ballast and transfer it over to the new headlight modules? there is a gray wire running from the bulb plugin to the ballast. where can i disconnect that wire so the 2 items can come apart. the wire runs through a round internal opening within the headlight module and so i cant get the 2 items apart without disconnecting it somewhere.

2. i got the proper typeS corner/signal bulbs but do i need a new connector? the base bulb does not have the 2 'dots' that the types 1157 bulbs have.

1157 bulb:

7440 bulb:

also, see the gray wire connecting the ballast to the bulb connector... how to disconnect it at whichever end so i can seperate the 2 and move them to the new headlight modules.

pic is not of TL headlight module but same idea.

This is a very subjective opinion from person to person, my advise, consult yourself, your wants/needs, and if its something worth spending the money on.... of course were going to tell you yes....

SO i finished it all up tonight.. the only thing on my mind is that one of the corner bulbs stopped working 'suddenly'.

What i mean is that i already had the driver side done but decided to remove the module again to install the 'ballast bracket' see thread ( https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=803147 ). i put the headlight back in and since the base corner light marker does not 'securely' fit the typeS headlight, i had to twist it a bit at the connector end to sort of lock it into place. but then i noticed that the bulb didnt work anymore... yet it was working earlier. i unplugged the connector..checked the wiring for any damage (none found) and unplugged the bulb and re-plugged in the bulb but still didn't work. could it have burnt out just like that or did I do something that screwed up the wiring? fuses? it is the only bulb affected.

...and to add to the above.. the driver side is doing the 'fast signal flash' so that usually means something like a burnt out bulb?
