Shift Knobs..

So I am thinking of getting a new shift knob pretty soon because my stock one is showing some signs of wear.. Just wondering what your guys thoughts are on aftermarket knobs, and what works well with our interiors.. I did a quick search and found Bearcats knob which I thought looked pretty good..

You guys have any other options in your cars? Or any others that you think look good? How do the knobs you like effect performance (weight, feel), and is there any drawbacks (heat, etc..)?

^ Dude, haven't seen this video in awhile --> i remembered having this "tape" back in the day. I think it was "sex packets" album...hilarious.

To the OP, go for the style you'd be happy with (since you're the one that's gonna be seeing it everyday)...as mentioned before, sooo many to choose from. I personally like the momo picture you put up, but then again, that's just my

Now thats how I roll. Look's OK on the auto. But it performs perfectly on the MT6. Stick it to em!!!

This is the one that I prefer and use. End of story.

I am rocking a gun metal.. 5 speed type r style shift knob... Says
1 3 5
2 4 R

But it is nice and comfy, gets extremely cold when it's cold out, and likewise gets extremely hot when it's hot out

I have been contemplating getting the Mugen shiftknob for auto (heeltoeauto.com)

Pass,

I got my Momo shift knob on Ebay for $88. Just search Momo shift knobs on Ebay. This one is similar to the first picture in this thread. I really like it because it accents the trim on the center console.

hey pffpffpass, thanks fo the props. I honestly don't remember posting that pic - - too old; memory's shot.

Anyhow, the "CF" looks pretty good to the stock CF trim. I'm pretty happy. Chose between the Alum/Leather knob Steven Bell has and this one. I preferred the "CF".

Vinn, I'm absolutely still lovin' it for sure. You know, every time I go to the dealership, the service writers comment on how good the CF looks. I realized the pictures I originally posted were taken with the flash on, so they're alittle bright. I need to take some pictures in natural light.

By the way, Bearcat's Momo shifter looks awesome too.

4G TL knob has a button.

if you want weight and a 6spd shift knob.. go with the skunk2 shift knob, just during hot days especially in the summer be sure to cover it with something because it gets VERY HOT

http://jhpusa.com/store/pc/viewPrd.a...&idproduct=385

had it on my rsx for two years.. loved it, it gave better throws for shifts. I still have it here on my desk, might slap it on my car when I have the chance

what is the thread pattern on the auto knob? i'd love to just throw a nice titanium ARC knob on it... if it threads right in that is.

It does in fact have the short shifter (absolutely the greatest mod to this car on the planet) The MOMO knob is also countersunk so the shift lever goes all the way up to the top of the knob.

You also want to look at the weight of the knob. The heavier it is, the less effort to shift. For instance, mine is seriously heavy and i merely have to flick my wrist and its in gear....
