Shift knob question

Shift knob

I was thinking about getting this shift knob for my car. I think the carbon fiber matches pretty well with the CF in the car, just wondering what everyones opinions were? And is it a big issue to remove the stock knob?

good looking knob... if you have 5AT then it is very easy,,,,, just unscrews... if you have 6MT then you pull down on the silver ring to detach the shift boot, then unscrew the knob...

I have an aftermarket knob on my 6MT and i just took some superglue (the gel type not the watery type) and used enough to stick it on but not enough to permanatly attach it... everytime i need to take the knb off, it comes right off....

Some aftermarket knobs come with a adaptor to connect too... I think Kennedy has one of those...

I never liked the universal knobs that much because most the times, after a while, they start to loosen up and you have to tighten it again.

I saw that shift knob also and thought it would look good. I would want to see one in person first though. If anybody has it, post pics.

Actually, I have tried to fit that exact MOMO shift knob for my TSX. If you have a 5AT, then it will not fit. The TL, TSX, RL AT's have a 8mm or M8 thread for knobs to screw on to,

But this MOMO shift knob only comes with small rubber caps that dont do anything to make it fit at all.

This was the reason why I was able to install a 2005 RL shift knob onto my 2005 TSX because they both have a 8mm thread for the shift knob to just screw on to.

I had that same knob on my TL (it had the "air metal" insert instead of the carbon fiber). It fit perfectly and felt real good in hand.

I thought about buying the leather/carbon momo shifter. I just wish I could hold it and feel it before I purchased it. I would also want to measure it and make sure it's not any taller than the stock shift knob.
