Here you go:

I got mine as part of a group buy. Reasonably easy to do and it's very cool.

This whole thing is VERY easy and will take you less than 3 minutes total!

after getting this item, i am glad i looked at this post first. everyone keeps saying how easy this is to do, however, i would of never known to take the metal backing out first and just replace the plastic part. by first looking at the piece i might of tried to replace the whole piece, including the metal.

after getting more involved, i am sure i would of figured out that you dont replace the metal part or the whole part,,,,,, but it was good to read this post first.

thanks for the info!

Thanks

It's nothing to run out and get, just a cleaner look. If you check out the other people here, they have got the remote window mod so no need for the ugly hole. Why use a key when you have a remote? That applies to both the windows up or down and the locking of the car.

No.

You replace the Front Driver-side Door Handle Cover with the Rear Driver-side Door Handle Cover.

The dealer. It's like $10 for the base and the cover (it comes as a set). You only need the cover.

Part number for this cover from the dealer is 72684-SEP-A01ZD for WDP. Cost at my dealership is $11.67, plus tax of course.

Thread revival I know but..

Can someone post a pic or explain where I'm supposed to stick a flat head screwdriver to pop off the old tab? Noob question but I'm not all that comfortable potentially scratching up the area around my handle because I didn't know where to pry.

I really don't remember, it's been so long ago.

Edit, errr, I guessed wrong. See the next post. Sorry.

So I re-read the thread and happened to miss this vital post. I went outside and just installed the piece.

To slightly elaborate more, here are some really basic instructions to help anyone else out.

1. Remove the metal bracket from your newly acquired part, it's not important in this mod.
2. Grab a flathead screwdriver with one hand and pull open the door handle with the other.
3. Holding the handle open, you'll see a hooking tab on the middle of the cap connected to the metal bracket which connects to the door. I tried to flick it outward so I could pull the tab off but that didn't go over so well. Instead, I flicked at the upper right corner of the plastic tab and it popped right off.
4. Take new "shaved" piece and hook the left side in first, then push the right side in and voila! You're done.

An inexpensive mod that is subtle and simple.
