Where does the "beep" come from to confirm locking of doors?

You set that through the MID.
The owner's manual can be viewed on-line here: Acura Vehicle Information | Select Your Model | Acura Owners Site.

I believe the beep module is somewhere behind the front fender and I forget what side. If you peeled away one of the front wheel well plastic liners you would see it.

Yes beep confirm your car is lock after pressing lock button twice, it can be adjusted on the MID.

I am looking for the location and the part number if someone is able to provide this info.

It would be great if anyone could provide a picture of it.

Thanks.

Which makes me think, any of you guys find that it's less audible when it's cold out?
Wondering if it's just a fabrication of my imagination, my car, or every TL.

always sounds same to me. air temperature has no effect on decibel. if you are hearing a difference it might be because your battery is giving less power to it at a colder temp

Might, but then again it's been reaaaaally warm for winter so far. 32F actually. Car has 0 other symptoms and I checked the battery + alternator around a month ago while fixing my rusted power steering line and doing my antirust as part of my winter preparation.

I'm wondering if by some miracle my antirust treatment might have got to it when I sprayed the undercarriage. Or maybe it's just going bad too.

Might of have gotten some spray on the beeper but not likely since it's located by the engine protect by the fender liner..

I would be surprised too, but we sprayed a lot of the good anti rust that lasts for the life of the vehicle. Might have went a bit overboard with the amount and the locations haha

only when my battery was on the way out did I ever notice it lower when it was cold out. New battery = no more issues.

It normally sounds the same to me, but things like windy days can make a difference on whether I hear it.

Lock once, then press the button quickly again. It beeps the second time to tell you every door is locked properly. If there's a door not locked or open, it doesn't beep.

I know...I'm old Bunny and I just can't hear the beep most of the time. I should have noted sarcasm.

Oh haha! I might be getting old too then, because mine seems harder to hear than it did this summer.

Mine is so quiet I can barely hear it and it's quite annoying. I'm going to try and replace it with a siren from a DEI alarm.
