My "seat" pops and makes strange noises as well... Though it's usually after I have eaten too much etc....

Seriously though, I have an 04 as well and so far no strange noises from the seats. I wonder if you have a worn out seat track or worm screw (adjuster etc.). Do your power seat functions get used often - as in multiple drivers etc.?

My guess is something is worn or bad within the seat track/frame mount. They will probably remove the seat and just replace the frame/effected track area. Not the entire seat.

Good luck

I need to desribe this better... Its right in the middle of my back.. when i put less presure on the back of the seat.. or pull myself away from my seat it will pop i lean back i hear if and feel it going in. pull away again pop... Its like the metal or soemthing inside the seat is flexing .... Its not the track or anything close to that.. Just makes popping noise when i move or adjust my back!!!
thanks for chiming in KJ

There's a lumbar support in the driver's seat back, controlled by a rocker switch at the rear of the bottom left side of the seat. Try adjusting that and see if it helps. It may be broken or loose or something.

All 3G TL's should have it. It's right behind the seat adjuster switch.

Warranty is 4 years/50,000 miles, so if you are under both of these it will be covered.
