Scrapes are killing me!!

The bottom of the front bumper is getting scraped almost constantly :banghead: . I go VERY slow over bumbs especially when getting out a shopping complex or something, but it seems to get scratched all the time. I put my hand under and can feel the coarse grind, which is now becoming visible from the front. Is anyone else experiencing this?

I wonder if it gets worse for those with the chin spoiler? (Is there much less clearance?)

ryder1650, do you mean you hit the bottom of the front bumper or that black underhood air deflector?

I bet it's probably the air deflector... Try going over dips and bumps at an angle. I work in LA and the streets are god awful and the angle trick works for me pretty good. Although, it does seem like I'm missing the ground by just inches. You A-SPECers must scrape the hell out of the bottom of your cars.

one trick to prevent your front bumper getting scraped at the bottom... try to go over the speed bumps or dips at an angle It really works! I think most ppl who lived in SF bay already knows that trick.

Yeah I do that for speed bumps. However, the problem most occurs wen leaving shopping complexes etc, when the sidewalk dips down and then the actual street dips up...kind of like this \_/ (not so steep of course)

Yeah, I've seen those. The dealership from where I bought my car (Stevens Creek Acura) has that same dip... it's a huge problem for people who aren't careful. I'm surprised they haven't fixed it. I wonder how many A-Spec buyers from that dealership scraped up their lip spoiler right after driving it off the lot.
