Sad day

Pulled out of my drive way (corner house at a 4 way intersection), stopped, saw two vehicles approaching from the south and the north. Made my way into the intersection and the vehicle from the south headed north rolled a stop sign and says she did not see my bright blue TL in front of her. As she tboned me, I'm sure she is at fault for this accident (collision center kind of hinted that way).

I got an estimate from the dealership I picked the car up from and they quoted $6800 CAD dollars. The adjuster is coming out tomorrow to look at the vehicle and make his assessment before I can drop it off at the dealership.

Side air bags did not deploy or else I would be at the border of write off.

Here are the pics of the damage.

I just hope there is no structural damage that is going to rear it's head later on.

Sad day indeed. Sorry man. Like you said, hopefully there is no structural damage and you can just move on. Best of luck.

She was prob texting, no joke, every day I see about 5 out of 10 drivers on their phones texting or doing whatever while driving, not paying attention to shit, it drives me absolutely insane how much of a danger people are, you constantly have to be on alert to avoid all the morons.

Sorry about the tl :/

I strongly doubt it's going to be a write off unless there is structural damage the only part that will have it is the beam between the front and rear door.

Wow looks like the rear door took the brunt of it- amazing the window did not break? Does the front passenger door open/close OK- that would be a good sign.

Good luck- it looked like you have a nice clean TL before the accident. What kind of car hit you?

What a PIA. Not too bad until I saw the crease in the C pillar, panel behind the rear door indicating how the body twisted. That is part of the qtr. panel and will be interesting to see how they decide to do the repair/replacement.

If it's done correctly, you'll never know it was hit, only on carfax.
Time for diminished value settlement.

I had the same hit but had more damage to the rear quarter as well. And my side curtain deployed. You're ok that's what matters most. New door and work on the b and c pillars and your golden again.

That quarter panel is going to b a bitch to match.

Acura did mine at Erin mills and it only lasted 3 years before the paint startd to bubble so I have no faith in aftermarket painting. I hope u have some better results than I did.

thanks guys. The dealership is offering lifetime warranty on the body work if I go with them for as long as I own the vehicle.

Sorry for the lack of updates and responses. Crappy weekend for this to happen as I am heading up to the cottage tomorrow. Well the Insurance company called and said it's repairable, I will be taking it to the dealership (have to tow it as the vehicle technically has no insurance on it now since I have a rental).

The body shop will take it from there. I am going to stick to the dealership as they will warranty the work for the life of the vehicle and also use OE parts. Got an Audi A4 as a rental in the meantime, blah car! Miss blueberry already.

Sorry to see/hear about it, painful too look at. With an SUV there could have been more damage, I guess she was not going fast at all.
