Acura LED Logo Puddle lights

Today I saw a BMW with these logo LED puddle lights. I told him they looked rather badass. Just wondering what fellow Ziners thought about them. Tasty or Tacky?
I'm considering the mod.

Tacky as hell. Would look 100x better if it was just the 4 rings.

Just the Acura symbol could look good, but not feeling the acura and symbol within a circle

please don't do it. soft white puddle lights are ok, but logos are tacky.

very douchey in my opinion. It's very clear what you're driving. Why the hell would you want it to project a logo of the car?

"I'm driving a Audi and I want everyone to know it's a Audi so I installed lights that will project the Audi logo for everyone to see at night"

this is up there with the ferrari guys that wear ferrari clothing while driving a.... you guessed it, a FERRARI. douchey indeed.

To tacky for me. Those illuminated door sills we used to be able to get here were cool, but "acura" puddle lights, nope.

friend of mine has a set of these for his TL but we haven't done anything with them yet.

i personally think it would look badass having it shine on the ceiling of the car, almost like the batman symbol in the sky.

you could install a switch to just turn it on and off at your leisure.

Now, if they projected the bat signal, then that would be cool.

I dont like them. It seems like one of those mods that people do when they are too bored and cant think of anything else to do. Kind of like the home depot front lip people used to do lol. I think illuminated door sills look much cleaner and less tacky.

That reminds me of when I see Chevy Impalas, Dodge Magnums, or Ford Mustangs (the most common ones to name) with the lettering on the side of the door "IMPALA" "MAGNUM" or "Mustang."

Whatever to each their own.

It'd be better to find a way to wire them to stay on while you're driving

For a show car I think it'd be cool, but I wouldn't personally do it on mine.

I got them on ebay. Real cheap. Easy Install, you only need a drill. The compliments keep flowing in wherever I go If you wanted to do it I might order the smallest ones you can get. There isn't much room in the TL door. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=161082891314

i just installed mine ill have to post pics, i was wondering if we would get in trouble if we put these toward the front of the vehicle and had it place at an angle so it would show only a feet or two in front of the car, would we get pulled over?

at least in CA it would probably depend largely on the color of the light. It can only be white, amber or yellow.

If it's blue or red, that's definitely illegal.

imo it would look pretty tacky to use these as some kind of driving light. let alone putting them in the door.

Do you have pics from it underneath? Wondering if you drilled a hole to mount it or somehow wedged it in the existing door light casing.
