I highly doubt we will ever get 30 people for this but I'll start the thread just in case. only around 80 were ever made and every owner can't say enough good things about them

I just did the math. 3.18198" piping has the same cross sectional area as two 2.5" pipes. Feed both 2.5" PCDs into a 3.25" midpipe, then diverge them to 2.5" mufflers. TIG welding exhaust pipes is not necessary. Just use stainless MIG.

For $57k up front they damn well better be! That's enough money to start a business and pay a welder's salary.

You would probably pay less than half that amount if you reached out to any fabrication shop yourself to have them build 30x of whatever exhaust.
I still cannot believe this.

I made a typo. 3.1898" diameter piping has the same cross-sectional area astwo, 2.25" pipes.

Well, since you absolutely. must. know. I initially posted in this thread around the time period that I had just pulled a J37A2 out of a 2009 Acura RL at LKQ in Charlotte, NC. I thought that I would be installing the engine in my '06 Accord sooner, but I deemed the current convention of using $600+ for Hondata / Ktuner with a $300+ ECU wiring adapter harness, and a ~$80 07-08 TL ECU. So I took a side step, did some research and worked with the HTS devs. I also had a lot of other things to address in my own, personal life, as well as with this J37A2 project. I finally back to the point where I am returning to part of the exhaust portion of this project.

June 11, 2021 - 2:04 PM - 2009 Acura RL

June 11, 2021 - 5:38 PM - J37A2 Pulled

June 11, 2021 - 5:43 PM - J37A2 Pulled.

June 12, 2021 - 11:43 AM - Pushed engine behind gated area, returned next morning to purchase. Check the date.

Returned wiring harness, power steering pump, and alternator.
$338.03 for my J37A2. Wish I hadn't bought the 90-day warranty. If so, I'd have only spent $247.88

June 19, 2023 - 2:46 PM - Reprogramming 2007-2008 TL base AT ECU

Get mad, get happy, get upset -- Whatever it is that you wanna do. Just get out of my way.

Your join date on here is April 2010. That's 7 years, 1 month after I joined Honda-Tech, which is also owned by Internet Brands, the same parent company that owns AcuraZine.
I forget which year it was that they brought me on as a moderator at Honda-Tech. 2006? 2007? Whatever it was, it was still years before April 2010.

You need to lose this attitude that you have. I accomplish more than you do, and I create more technical write-ups that I contribute to IB forums than you do. People do not follow me or read my posts because I'm a pleasant guy that everyone likes. In general, people don't sign up to automotive technical forums so that they can chill, hang out. They come on here for technical content, that IB brands capitalizes off of by displaying advertisements.

I use my abundance of technical skills, my mechanical engineering education, my 20+ years of hands on experience of modifying Hondas to reverse engineer and figure things out that are objectively and measurably superior. What this translates to is my posts having monetary value to IB.

Why is it that I don't post my writeups on here? Because the admin staff on here continue to get in my way.

So here's what I want you to do @thoiboi , I want you to reach out to the IB Staff, and ask them whether or not you should be questioning and discouraging members from replying to posts on this forum, even if its from an older post. Please let me know when you receive your message from anyone on the IB Staff.

If you or anyone else on here edits or remove my posts on here again without notifying me, discussing things with me, I will happily escalate this to IB Staff. Stop bothering me.

@thoiboi , you have 4,606 views on the most viewed technical write-up thread that you have created on this site.

Go to Honda-Tech.com, open my profile and pull up the threads that I've created and tell me what you see.

On page 1 out of 16, (25 results on each page), I have 1,731,532 views on technical content threads that I've created. This excludes group threads and a few other threads in Moderators Corner.

That is over 375x the amount of page views than your technical threads have.

My suggestion for you is that whenever you see that I post on here, pull out a notepad and a pencil and start taking notes.

You remind me of a guy who went by "SQAD" on D-series.org and part of their moderator staff. He did some similar crap with me back in 2007. I remember reaching out to the admin of that forum and informed him about the situation.

What's it say for his last seen date? https://www.d-series.org/members/s-q-a-d.387/
