No clue, honestly. I could venture a guess, but I wouldn't want to give out incorrect info. Give Rondy a call or e-mail him off the link on his site...he responds/answers quickly.

I know it's kinda hard to show it with photoshop, but I'd def like the top grille better if the mesh is pushed back a bit more (maybe about an inch or so) ...
kinda like these:
oh and by the way, I still like your first design, even though there are a lot of getho horiz. line designed out there, I think you're looked very clean and fresh. I'd personally get it. but I know you'd have to make something that all can/would buy. JMO
good work though

WE are pretty busy with bigger projects like the CL kit and forged wheels, but we are trying to problem solve the grille thing now. I cae up with this new design, and hopefully, it will replace the trim on the front bumper. it will have mesh atatched to it and an emblem. The rear window spoiler is also being developed as are the partial eyelids shown in the pics below, it's just going to take a little bit of time until we are done with the CL kit.

That looks good. Looks like the 'Son of Night Rider'. For those of us old enough to remember the Night Rider series. Are those real pieces on the car, or is it photoshopped ?

I liked that grille the minute I saw it in one of the subforums...I'll be all over that when it comes out (rear window spoiler, too).
And don't worry about us, Ron, you know us 3G guys are a whiney, impatient bunch ...pay us no mind...those CL guys have been waiting a lot longer for their kit than we have for anything.

RONDOG: I'll have to admit, I've been feeling what you've been doing all along. I'm not sure why everyone else isn't feeling it. I purchase that grille. Keep up the good work.

It looks good, quick question about the eye-lids, why not have them at teh top and bottom, and have them have an oval opening for the projectors. No one is going to get them if they are going to be that obtrusive to your headlights...
_______ ________
_______ ________ <----- and make the opening have an oval concave thing going and that would be hot!!

Much better with the grill. But make the eyelids much thinner, like BMW 5 series style. These cover 60% of the headlights. I got the ones from EBay that you just stick on, however I haven't installed em because I gotta change on headlight due to water in it.
I'll post pics. Ones I have are very similar to yours but half as thinner

Sorry to resurrect this thread but have been seeing the RJ project TLs in the top of our site pages lately, thought of this thread, and decided to come back to it. That first grille design was not very appealing, but the new one is absolutely HOT. That alone would be worth buying. NICE.

Yea let me know too cause i can be there in 5 minutes hehe.. I would love to see that car in person. That just makes me more anxious to get that kit to transform my black TL to that (well a supercharged version of it)

He's in NJ, but yeah, thinking of holding a Meet in the lot accross the street from the warehouse once the air warms up a little. Be pretty sweet for the NYers. But if you want to swing by, just call in a day in advance since it gets pretty busy, unfortunealy, the Kits are comign from CA not NY, only the wheels are here ijn NY
