Road Trip!

I've driven 2200 miles so far on this trip and am not even close to the halfway point. Started in Sierra Vista AZ and went to El Paso, Dallas and Austin Texas. Shreveport and Layfayette weremy next stops. I'm in Panama City now and will be in Gainesville FL tonight. Sometime yesterday my service A light came on. Getting that done Friday just outside of Atlanta. I'll be there for a few days for Dragoncon then off to Virginia.

I love the car! The seats are just great. I'm a big guy (fat) and am surprised the seats were so comfortable. I have the a-spec and received my first curb rash yesterday while making a brief stop in The French Quarter. For those of you who've never been there (included me before yesterday) the streets are very narrow. I tried a bit to hard to make sure I was out of traffic; it made a nasty grating sound. Was afraid to look and sorry I did. sigh...

28 mpg so far since the start. Been switching between cds and channel 150 (uncensored comedy) on xm.

That's exactly why I won't install the A-Spec shocks and springs. Lowering the car makes you more susceptible to curbs, and here in NYC, the roads.

I think it's the fact the wheels stick out past the tires that cause the curb rash problem. Actually I can't see the height of the car having anything to do with the curb unless it was drastic. Scrapig the front spoiler on the ground of course, but not scraping a wheel on a curb.
