HI all, New here too Acurazine. Need some info. Looking into putting a RJ kit on my 04 WDP TL. Has anyone baught the kit painted from RJ? How was the finish and fit. And how was the install? Thanks for the help.

Did not buy painted. Install is easy though if you have ever taken off a bumper. I would not reccomend getting it painted though. Because if it gets damaged in shipment then your screwed. Not to mention a local paint shop should be able to match it better since it is a pearl with your car in front of them due to the variations in the paint.

tfe691 , What is your opinion on the paint discoloration problem. My bumper are starting to change color a little bit now. I have read that it is in the primer that they use at the factory that causes this. Anything i can do to prevent this from happening when i get i kit painted?

dont order it painted!!!! i orderd only the rear- painted big mistake. when i got it the color was way off. had to have it repainted another $200 at bodyshop. guy at the shop said the paint shows up diff on metal than on polyurethane. they matched it perfectly! am.

the price went up $100... its $1500 for the kit + shipping and $2350 painted but I dont recommend ordering it painted.... it will not much the paint for sure... YES, I paid $1500 for the kit and $1500 to have it painted and installed...

That actually looks kinda bad on a white one... looks cheap. Something that a highschool kid would put on his car....On a black one it's not bad....

 

You hate white cars in general.

 

I don't think its a great concern for the black TL's...You wouldn't be able to tell the difference...Its only for lighter cars and sometimes the anthracite. But I would still get it painted at a local place cuz of shipment mishaps.

BTW, I never heard of a matching problem on any black tl 3 gen here on the forum...most of them come from the white tl's.

 

I ordered my Kit throught ron Jon Painted. The kit came to my door perfect. the paint was like glass and It was the right choice. I would recommend it to anyone.

How much just for the front bumper?

Does anyone have only the front installed on their ride? How does it match up with the stock sides and rear?

 

I have a new 05 NBP TL and a full RJ kit is the first thing I want. Is there ayway to organize a group buy so we could all maybe get it at a discount. I would order mine painted though, since I have a black car. It probably would be cheaper than getting it unpainted in the end.

Wouldn't lower my car though Chicago roads would eat my underside alive. Like I said in another post, you know you are driving in Chicago if you feel like your car is driving on a ladder.

Love the NBP color I don't think any color looks better when the car is perfectly clean, it's keeping the car constantly clean part that makes it difficult.
