Resistor Installation for LED Switchbacks

hey AZ, quick question on the resistor installation:

could anyone give me a detailed (but simple) explanation of the resistor installation? I've seen the DIY on here and it just says "connect" the resistor to the ground and turn wire, but how exactly does it "connect"? Do I have to strip down the wires, take out the wire from the headlight connectors and run it through the blue splicers? Also the left headlight seems to have 2 red wires and one black wire... I have the V-LED switchbacks and resistors.

thanks everyone

Do it from the back. Located the rear turn signal bulb and connect one side of the resistors with the blue tap to one wire and the other side of the resistors to the other wire with the blue tap.

oh it doesn't matter if it's done in the front or back? interesting.

but again though, you say "connect one side of the resistors" - how exactly is that done? lol

my question is more just about how to get the wire from the headlight connectors into the blue splicer thingy

I had a member on here do mine. He told me when they are properly installed the resistor will warm up fast, thats a good indication you have done the job correct!

The blue clip will have two 'channels' - one channel will be open on both ends, the other closed on one end. Insert the resistor wire into the closed end. Insert the BLINKER wire on the headlight (Blue w/ red stripe on driver, white on passenger, IIRC), and clamp down. Repeat this process and connect the other clip and resistor to the ground wire...so your resistor goes BLACK ---> RESISTOR ---> BLUE/RED -or- WHITE

thanks for the responses guys

okay so I did it, pretty simple and clear, however; when I try my turn signal, the inboard dash just displays a constant Left turn signal (I have only installed it on the left signal so far, right one is still the normal bulb), and the LED doesn't turn on at all, any help?

EDIT: nevermind, switched the LED around and it works GREAT, thanks for everyone's help
