Replace 04-06 OEM tailights with 07 Type S

Has anyone replaced the OEM tail lights on a 04-06 TL with the 07 Type S tail ligths? What is needed? Does the wiring have to be changed? If someone has a list of what would be needed for the swap that would be great.

Yep I just did this and it's a pretty easy mod and makes a big difference in the looks department. Go for it!

So you only had to buy two parts right? The right and left light housing? Nothing else? Thanks.

Just the outer lenses. Be certain to lower/remove the bumper cover in the area below each tail light as there is a hidden bracket in there holding the light in place.

Your thread is being moved from the Performance Parts & Modifications subforum and into the main 3GTL forum. Please read the rules before posting in this partifular subforum. They can be found here: https://acurazine.com/forums/announc...nouncementid=7.

And, yes, many members have done this mod. The S lights are a direct replacement. You don't need to change anything. You can contact Tim at hondacuraworld. He is one of the vendors on this site. He will definately help you out.
