Reflective tint on back window screwing reception

Need some advice on this one. I bought an 06 a montha ago and noticed it had a relective tint on the back window. After a while I notice I had no AM reception and I think my FM reception is worse than the 05 Altima I traded in. Is there anything I can do (besides replacing the back window) to boost the reception. I also know my navi antenna is under the back deck. I checked the reception on that and I usuall have at least 5 sats tracking so I think thats ok. Thanks for the help

have the tint removed and apply non reflective- most shops know not to use it on windows with antennas- its in the owner book iirc

Or your radio needs an adjustment too- based on radios of 30 years ago and a way to tune the radio to the length of antenna cable

How would you go about asjusting the radio for better reception. Is this something I can do or do I have to take it in. Can I get the tint of or do I have to take it in for that also. Any tips to getting the tint off? Thanks

I don't see how the tint will mess up the antenna, it is located on the roof. Maybe if it was inside I could agree but I don't think the did will do anything to mess it up. I have reflective tint on all my windows and I hear the radio perfect!

Talked to the local acura dealer today. they say they have many problem wit am station sbecause the antenna is in the back glass. Unless someone has any other ideas how to boost the signal I guess I am going to have to live with this. Thanks all

do a web search on tint removal- its not that tough with a wet towel and some heat- sunlight to steam the glue loose
have to be careful with the wires - so better to have a shop do it
They have used radio antenna in glass for years without issue- but the owner book specifically prohibits the metallized tint for a reason
The installing shop is responsible, not the dealer- they are not tint people!!!

Reflective tints have some metallic material that will causes poor reception on the Radio.

No just with am stations. Navi has 5-6 sats all the time. Dealer said am stations are weak because the antenna is in thew back window. Aparently that is not a good place for the antenna.
