i grabbed some red tape and carefully went over the grey portion of the aspec lip.
i think it looks good, my uncle works at a shop said hed do it for free
what do you guys think?
i think this will go well with some time attack wheels in the future...(very distant future) i cant spend money im the situation im in now but, trying to do some cheap mods like some of you suggested in my previous thread.

 

Def. need some more pics, and you would need to do a few other things in red to pull it off, time attacks like you said, maybe grill also.

Red Brake calipers might just tie it all together.
You get a big 'A' for creativity.

 

IMHO I think the red is going to stand out like a pimple on your wee wee ... red calipers are fine but this is too big an area.

reminds me of an rsx I saw that put red accents all over his nbp. im not a fan... doesnt flow with anything on the car. looks like you have blood splattered all over your lip

The red will only work, if you have black rims with red accents around them..and still it's too much red... Give me a normal size pic, and then we can photoshop it... A murdered out look or solid black all around will make the red sexy, but it must flow like so through out the whole car.

As of now, it looks like you ran out of parts, and stuck that there... sorry.

What would you do for the rear? It would look OK if you had a total red/black theme going throughout the car. Points for trying something different.

As for me I always had that dream of doing carbon fiber for a long time. UA6spec went and did the real deal 2 yrs. ago. That made me really want to go ahead with my idea of using vinyl. I tried and failed badly. Wasted $40 on a roll of vinyl. The front is fairly easy, again it's the rear that is a bitch. Recently I reattempted and messed around and did a quick 30 min. job to get an idea what it would look like. It's not trimmed right and it's got bubbles. It's still on my car and you know what? It looks pretty damn nice and looks pretty real and goes with my anthracite. It matches my grille mod. Even a few guys at the last meet thought it looked good. I'll put up pics one of these days. I'll ride with it till it gets all screwed up and redo it really well in the spring. But the rear is nearly impossible to do completely in 1 piece. I do have an idea for that though. Until spring.

 

If your going to do that, black out your whole grill and the bottom part of your grill where the V shape is pop that out and paint it red too kinda like the GTI has the red stripe and then your lip will match but dont forget the time attacks =)

 

Not feeling it at all...it's definitely not for this car,but gotta give you credit for thinking and being creative though.

Im not feeling it. It does make the car look cheap. Do the Time attack wheels and red brakes and that would be good enough. Its gonna look real good like that, leave the lip alone and black out your grill.

 

I don't think masking off the grey portion of the a-spec lip will look that great.
HOWEVER... if you were to maybe outline the grey-portion... it might be more subtle

 

I agree Komodo, I think doing the WHOLE thing red is a bit much. Just giving it an outlined red stripe? That will probably be the ticket.
