Thanks HEK, hope you and the wifey digg it as much as i do!

I've also been getting some PMs about if exactly what kind of spoiler this is. It is not necessarily for the Tercel. The auction that I won is for a Tercel but they are using that car as an example on what this universal spoiler will fit onto. Just look for a universal spoiler that is 45 inches long. Make sure it is also pliable so that you can contour it onto the back windshield. Do not get one for only a specific vehicle as it may not be pliable.

for all you who have done this mod, please post pics, i'd appreciate it.

For me was item 280019054804, and it took my kid and I, 5 minutes to install it and suppose if I wanted it off I'd say after I pull it off and wipe off the glue from the tape with "goof off" another 5 minutes...but I'll let you find out, I'm not removing mine...

It looks like all of the spoilers the ebay guy has are pretty much the same. So you can just order any of the 45" long ones and your set. Right?

yup, its pretty much all the same as long as you get the one that is 45inches. like i said, he just puts name of vehicles to associate it with something. its not necessarily for that vechile. man, i should get in touch with that guy and ask for commission or something hahaha.

Haha, it wouldnt be much, maybe $2 per sale.

OT: Just wondering, you have the injen cai. I heard it was quieter than the AEM, which is what I'm looking for. How do you feel it sounds, especially with the resonator-mod?

it is kind of quiet, but not that quiet. its a smoother tone then the AEM (thats what i hear) I did change the filter to the new one from AEM though. apparently it is a better quality filter and lets more air in at the same time. once i got the resonator mod, it was less noticeable.

Do you remember the sun visor (spoiler)
that blocked sunlight to the top of the rear
window on the 1st gen Supra? That's
what I'm interested in. My 7th gen Accord
coupe has a window that's practically
horizontal compared to the 3rd gen TL.
It get's damn hot in the car.

Hopefully I can get mine painted next week. I hate to ask this but.....

You do put this on the glass not the paint, right?
Do you think I should trim it first or paint it first??

You place it on the glass and I would ask the"painter" to use "flex paint' which doesn't harden up as "most" paint...hopefully he will understand...

Whoa, slow it down... trim? you dont really trim anything. It fits perfect. and if the shop painting it for you does not understand what flex paint is, you should not have it painted there. Once its painted, you need to be very careful with it even if it has flex paint on it. it is very flexible. you will probably have to put it on at the shop where its getting painted

Ya Thanks!

I didn't put it on the window so thats why I thought it might need some trimming. But I did lay it on the window now. Your right, it's fine.
Yes they are using the flex additive. So no worries! Question?
When installing this do I just remove a small amount of the protective plastic. Say 2-3 inches at a time. Holding the spoiler in place as you go? Not all of it at once?

ya, pretty much. i laid it down on the window exactly where i wanted it. then i lightly lifted it up part by part and slowly peeled it off. making sure there was contact exaclty where i wanted the spoiler to stay in place.

Some of the spoilers have LED brake lights.....I guess that would be overkill right? I mean the 3rd brakelight is right below it. I'm just curious as to what it would look like. Probably not all that good. I think I'm gonna get flamed now.....

OK let's try a different idea. My car is anthracite....Instead of flex-painting it, which I feel may be risky and probably cost more than the spoiler itself, I thought of maybe getting one that is carbon fiber? (ya I know, fake) I think it may match well. Or clash? I dunno, just some ideas...........

lol, alright. How is the knockoff one compare to the OEM one. The OEM one is ridiculously expensive.

The Acura replica ones are very comparable to OEM in my opinion. You can hardly tell a difference and even if you could it's not worth the extra $300 for OEM. Maybe the quality of materials is not totally up to par but close enough. Have one on my car and I personally love it and NOBODY can tell it's not OEM. I've parked next to a car at the dealer and it looked 99.99% the same to me.

Those other generic style lip spoilers you see for cheap on Ebay (like the ones we are talking about in this thread) are just good for roof spoilers. Generic ones are just copies of the E39 BMW M5 spoiler made in different lengths for different cars. It's not made to compliment any particular car and they are made for universal fitment so the only requirement is the width of your trunk. They don't look as good as the OEM Acura lip, don't assume the 2 are the same. You want a spoiler with the curve/width of the original design. The Acura one (knockoff or OEM) is wider and has a better design to it.

Sorry to redirect this thread dudes.......back to our regularly scheduled program;
