I actually think it looks pretty good. The spoiler is so subtle that it almost appears as though it could have come stock.

Just the same, it is just for looks anyway. How else can you change the roofline?

Well there are tons of things out there for cars. Curb feelers, underbody neon lights, 26" wheels, roof spoilers. Just cause things are out there doesn't mean you have to put them on your car

I understand that you have a black/white theme going on for your car, but I think you should paint the roof spoiler to match the color of your car.

As a 37 y.o., father of 2, straight-laced guy I have to say that my A-Spec kit and aftermarket spoilers are about as ricey as I'll get. I have to say that I was wincing when you first said that you were putting a roof spoiler on. But now that I see it, it's about the most subdued roof spoiler you could get, so I don't find it offensive or cheesy. I wouldn't get one, but for what it is, it looks okay.

i like it too...but me personalllly i would have painted it because the black spoiler kind of gets lost in the dark tints. But none the less PROPS for being different and its something i wanted to do for a while.

I do like it, but I agree that if it was painted it would be 10 times better. I does get lost alittle in the tinting.

ayethetiense also link me up to the ebay auction you got this from. I'm normally very productive at finding things on ebay, but no luck on this thing.

I did a bit of photoshopping and it might look a little ricey if its painted. since the shape is not like a normal roof spoiler. the normal roof spoiler curves down with the window and this one curves up... eh, the more i look at it the more i can deal with the painted version...heres the photochop

Wow. It's a lot smaller than I thought, but looks nice. Almost looks OEM. I say leave it black. It blends in with the surrounding area.

Its so subtle it works, does not take away from the car. Sweet ride, the black and white theme works well. I have got to make it out to Cali...

ya now that i look at it, if i painted it white, it would stick out too much. i like the fact that not everyone will notice. i def digg the black rubber color. even tho it gets lost sometimes in the tint, i'd rather have it that way then sticking out like a sore thumb.

If it was any other color, i think it would look good painted. especially SSM.

i think it looks good and would look great WDP. the only thing i would worry about is the paint cracking because that spoiler looks like it has alot of give. even with alot of flex additive, it may happen.

it should be fine once you paint it and put it on, its not gona flex once its on. but that thing is very pliable. in fact, it came in a pretty small box and it was wrapped in itself almost 2 times. when you get a shop to paint it, theyve got to install it right then and there.

I was considering using the lip spoiler from my 03TL-S on my 06.
I couldn't go through with it though. As soon as it crossed my mind that it's a "subtle" wing, I realized it's just a weak one.

it still tempts me to go ahead & rock it, but i know I will have 2nd thoughts every other time I look @ it.

I think i found something that would fit just right. Not sure cause I haven't received it yet. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping it will fit and curve right. I'll post pics as soon as I get it on there. Actually, after I get it on there and wash the car. I haven't had pics of my ride for a long time anyway. Wish me luck.... Please post comments on if you think it will be ricey or if you think there is a good possibility it will look good. Famous words of the guy in Fanstastic 4 "Flame on!"
I was looking at mine and and thinking it would look nice, If I could find one I'd buy it too especially if I could find matching lip for trunk but a litle longer than the stock but not a whale tail, justa liitle bigger,

I've gotten a good amt of PMs about this so hopefully its ok if i just post this. I got it off of ebay and this is the auction number tha ti won so that you guys can just reference what type of spoiler it is. I am in no way endorsing this seller, but this is the exact option that i won. just copy and paste this in the search field. 280009894141

i'd have to shave & blend one end. 1.5"-2"
i got mine from ebay too.
it must have flex additive in the paint because it bends a lot when it's warm without showing in the finish.
i got it in the winter & it was stiff.
i think it's ABS plastic

There's nothing quite like adding useless plastic to a nice car just to add weight and mess with its aerodynamics.

Oh, and it looks silly too.
