Rear Brakes

I see a few cars that has rust near the rear brakes. It's the part where the wheel connects to. My friend also told me that he has to paint that part on his RX-8 or it will rust.
Does the TL has this problem? I haven't seen it on a TL before. My 2k1 Maxima and my 03 Accord coupe never had this problem.

It's not the rotors.

Not here... I took a close look and they seem the be painted silver already. The only part where I see a little rust is on the flat area right where the wheel meets the hub, so its between the wheel and hub. Not noticeable at all thank goodness.

I hope not because that will give the car a real cheap look. I had the same thing happen to my old eclipse.

It's called "Quality Control" or lack of it. Isn't that a Mazda rather than a Honda/Acura?

This is very normal. I have seen this on MANY cars before, including my old Hondas. A lot of people will sand/wire brush the rust and paint them (make sure you protect the contact surface of your rotors). If you don't like the way it looks, paint it with high-temp engine paint or caliper paint. If it doesn't bother you, then you really don't need to worry about it- it's completely harmless.
