Ratchet length

Hello TL family. I have always worked on my 2008 Acura TL with my hand powered tools but lately I've been wanting to use a battery powered ratchet wrench. My only question is: What length would be best/beneficial while working on the engine, etc? Should I get the extended, snub or regular? Thank you for your ideas.

If you want to wrench on small stuff, get the M12 1/4 2456 ratchet. Together with 1/4 sockets (and swivel sockets like
this one this one
) you will be able to get to most annoying bolts and is small enough to fit into tight places. Like for example taking all those 10mm M6 bolts that hold timing covers is a breeze with this tool (well except for like 2 of them on TL if memory serves right).

There are cheaper alternatives available but I never used them.

FWIW, this is the 3/8" power ratchet I use from China

https://www.banggood.com/3-or-8-inch...1&rmmds=search

Makes getting the timing belt cover bolts off so much easier, it cuts the time from ~15 minutes with a 1/4" or 3/8" hand ratchet down to ~3minutes for those bolts alone.

I have the 3/8" version of this but want to pick up the 1/4" extended reach ratchet to complement it. I find that sometimes, it's not long enough and the 1/4" extended will give me the flexibility i need.

is there much of a difference in size between the 1/4 and the 3/4 ratchet?

For Milwaukee I believe head is the same size, but most 1/4 drive sockets are shorter than 3/8 versions.

hmm... I wonder if the body is similar in size. I just don't want to buy 2 different sizes. But, if I have too, I will..
