Random Part

Does anyone know the name and part number for the little plastic pieces that finish off the rear outside door handles? Is this something I can fix myself? No idea how but today I noticed that one of mine is missing.

When I bought my TL from a toyota dealership I had my rear driver side door missing this piece. The dealership ordered one for me that was already painted to the color of the car. If you cant get a part number try going into a honda or an Acura dealership and see if you can order it there.

Yes - you can. Might be as easy as snapping the new piece on. If you have the defective base (metal part inside that the plastic piece clips onto), then you'll have to take the door panel off (it's easy). I had to do the latter. It's easy. You'll need a long phillips screw driver to reach the deep screw though (1 foot should be enough).

Go find and download an 06 service manual (or PM me and I can send you one). It'll be useful for all your future DIY.

go to parts. Thats where I go to look for factory parts and they are decent priced as well.

I have no local acura dealer.

If it's for the Driver's side rear, the part # is: 72684-SEP-A01ZE . I bought it before to do the keyhole delete mod on my front driver's side door.
