When the TL's climate control is on "Auto," it'll blow loudly for a few minutes, but then quiets down pretty quickly nearing the preset temp.
Does your climate control auto adjust after nearing the pre-set temp?
If it doesn't, there's a problem.
I haven't heard of an upgraded fan.

yeah, i did replace the air filter, but i that fan i'm not worried about. i was talking about the engine cooling fan i believe. i am not a mechanic, but it is around the radiator & extremely loud. i noticed it when coming out of the gas station, and at idle it is annoying. it cuts off when the heat is off, so maybe i don't know which is causing the noise, but outside of the vehicle you can't miss it.

Check the coolant level in the radiator when the TL is cold-- the coolant should be up to the filler neck. Then check the overflow reservoir to make make sure you have enough coolant there as well-- that will minimize the amount of time the engine fans are on. If the level is low, the fans will run longer and louder.
The fans will go on when the A/C compressor is activated because the A/C generates additional drag/heat on the engine; IDK if the fans turn on with the heater, though.
The fans may stay on for a few seconds after the car is turned off, but not longer unless there is a bad thermostat or temp sensor.
