Hey guys,

Anyone in the Central Florida area run their TL at the Orlando Speedworld Dragway?

 

Come on guys! No one in the Orlando, FL area goes to the track??? Attached is a link to an event going on in October from a Nissan Titan forum. That 1/2 ton truck is quick!!! Let's get some TL's out there to represent. Me and another member are gonna try and get out there before Oct to see what our TL's will run. There are always plenty of G35's and 350z's out there running. Unfortunately most of them are all modded and have ECU tuning.

I used to go but I had a Z28 and that was many years ago... I do some racing next door at the circle track during the Crash-A-Rama. Its fun to go out there and act like a stupid red-neck for a couple hours!!!

 

I'd be interested! Atleast to watch, how much is it to spectate and race?

 

That circle track looks like it would be a blast! You should take the TL out to the strip sometime and see what she'll do. I'm really surprised that none of the Orlando TL members have taken their car out to the track and test their go fast mods. I plan on taking the TL out when the weather cools a bit to see what it runs before the J-pipe and after. If I can get a good launch and run in a good DA I'll be happy in the low 14's.


Now were talking TL Advanced. I'd love to see more TL's run the 1/4 mile. We need to see more hard data and information to truly compare mods instead of just the good old but dyno and dyno sheets. It's $10.00 dollars to get in and only $5.00 more to run. It's a blast! Let me know if you wanna go and I'll meet you there. We could line up against some Nissans and infinity's. It's all in good fun win or loose.

I've run my Nissan Titan a few times and love it. The Titan is probably faster than my TL... Take a look at that video link too see some of my friends run a 1/2 ton truck!!!

It's sad the TL doesn't have the aftermarket support it deserves, especially in regards to ECU tuning. Without ECU tuning the TL will NEVER be able to maximize the mods we have available. The factory ECU can only compensate so much and isn't programed to hit maximum performance A/F ratios and timing targets...

 

I'll be there with my 07 5AT TL-S. only mods so far are H&R sports and ATLP J-pipe. I've had the catback on order since June 10 and nothing as of yet. my boy has gone out there with the guys on that forum. He's got an 07 Titan with JBA exhaust. there are actually some quick titans consideing their size.

 

i know this is in an old thread but im in lake mary for a month and i drove down my tl. maybe we can setup a meet at the track if anybody is down.

 

I live like 10 mins away, let me know when you guys are coming, my tl is stock, i would like to watch.
