I'm find very handy information for IL window tinting rules & laws.
My question is which option 1 or 2 is better?

 

35% all around is hot...not being biased or anything

 

I voted option 2.

 

Go 5% all around
I doubt that law will be enforced for a while by most cops
the rookie coops will enforce it, the vets usually wont (at least that would be the case here in texas)

My recommendation: 20% all around (minus the windshield) with 5% eyebrow & sunroof... that's what I have & love it! The 5-0 has left me alone so far BUT if I had to pick from your two options, I would go with option #2.

I have 35% all around and it gets the job done just fine.

Would I like it darker? Yes. Do I want to get tint tickets and fail inspection? No.

I have 5% all around. Haven't been pulled over yet...They aren't too particular on my side of town. I would have got 20% all the way to make everything legal. My front windshield is tinted 35% too. I love it and yes I can see just fine out at night.

 

35% makes the car look classy IMO.

20% is cool too.

Why such drastic choises? Why not go 20-25% in back and 30-35% up front?
