I gotta get new tires for the stock wheels. I would like to try and wait past Thanksgiving till i switch them, but that will all depend on the weather.

In Chicago I usually do my swap around Halloween which is coming up soon. I switch back to summers usually the last week of March or first week of April. I've been swapping winter/summer wheels now for about 10 years and this schedule usually works for me in Chicago. I don't just hold out until we get snow because summer rubber turns rock hard when the temps are cold and handles like crap.

Too early in CT. Since they are on separate wheels I just change them out in the garage when the forecast calls for snow. Or if I'm going to be busy I just do it the day after Thanksgiving.

When I see snow in the forcast is when im switching them out
the main reason people switch wheels out is because of the salt that they throw when it snows right? because ive always been confused on why and thought it was because of this.

When I see that there is snow in the forecast and it actually looks like it is going to stick, thats is when I put the stock wheels and snow tires on. I hope that is not for at least another month. I generally find that here in west michigan that I usually put them on around thanksgiving. It was 36F this morning though...but no snow in the forecast.
