purchasing a TL
purchasing a TL
can anybody that works at dealership tell me how much should I expect to pay(without T.T.L.) realisticly in order to own a 06 TL/Navi this time of the year (3%holdback and $2000 incentives) in Florida? thanx
Some local Acura dealerships near me were offering the following deals a month ago.
State: NJ
2006 Acura TL: $26,500 Plus Destination
2006 Acura TL w/ Navigation System: $28,500 Plus Destination
Good luck.

After being enlightened on the 3% holdback and 2000 incentives I did some negoatiating with my local dealers( MA.) and I'm getting quotes from 29.9k to 30.5k plus dest. With that said, as far as my understanding, with those discounts the total the car costs the dealer is 29,145.25.......2000 man. to dealer rebate and 1059.75 (3% off MSRP)and subtract that from invoice of 32205.00 that is what you get. So unless there are more hidden subtractions the dealer can take off that number to make his actual cost lower(which there could be, but I haven't heard of any and don't think any one else has either) then the best anyone can do is 29,145.25 plus dest. and plus some sort of profit that the dealer wants or needs to make the transaction plausible. I don't doubt that maybe people are getting those initial quotes(28,500 plus dest), but when you get down to the nitty gritty the price is higher. Different areas have dif. markets, but not dif. invoices! Unless there something else that I'm not taking into account. No dealer, at this time is going to take a loss on an 06.......maybe far down the road...but not at this stage of the 06 selling process. Even with 07 so close.
Those numbers seem accurate.
One thing to keep in mind though... the longer you wait to purchase the 06 the better the prices will get. Most Acura dealers are just now getting their 'full' 2007 stock of TL's. If you could find a dealer with alot of left over 06's that would be the best place to try and negotiate.
Just have a number set in your head and stay firm when they try to negotiate.

Well in the BayArea I notice...Prices on remaining 2006 Tl are going higher. in november they were cheap...But since 85% of the dealers are out. The dealers that have them are jacking up the prices.
For Example
I got a quote from a dealer in the middle of nov for a TL with Navi
30900+fees
Dec im ready to buy...So I email the dealer back to check on inventory..She jack up the price to 32900+fees Saying since the demand is high there jacking up the prices...I told them F..Other here
