What do you say, boys or girls? Any problems with the '06 or is it the most problem-free of the TL's so far?

A good question to ask might be how quickly did rattles show up in the '04 and '05? Right away? Or only after a year or so? This might help judge whether rattle-free reports on '06s are of value.

My research (see sig) is just getting started, so I cannot say at this point. But in the future I'll have my first read on the new model year in late January or early February. (I'll have some data on the new Passat in this timeframe, but not enough '06 TLs signed up yet.)

i drove 00 accord before, and it had nasty rattles all over the car.
it was really annoying and you couldn't do much about it.

I bought my 06 back in December 05, besides a little rattle that comes from my glove box...no other problem.

The only noises I have had were my fault.

Although, my back hurts when I drive the tl a long distance. that kinda stinks.

Had my 06 for about two weeks, so far no major complaints, although a minor clicking sound has shown up on the left side of the dash, not sure if it's coming from the dash or the door though. I hear it mostly when driving over roughly surfaced roads that cause high frequency vibes through the tires. Bugs the crap out of me, but I have told myself that i'm not going to be anal about this car and I'm just going to drive it. So I just turn up the music and drive fast

'06 WDP 5AT with Nav
4 weeks old
1600 miles
no rattles, no noise
bluetooth paired with Sony Ericsson S710a
hacked navi splash screen
99 songs on a dvd-audio

other than having more blind spots than my previous accord (which I plan on remedying with a broadway rearview mirror), no complaints here!

Got mine almost a month and a half ago and no problems so far (currently 1400miles). I would have to say though that the EL-42s are utter crap and I can't wait to change them out.

Got my 2006 TL c Navi about 3 weeks ago. So far it has been a dream car. Love the responsiveness, handling, comfort, all the electrical goodies, and no unexpected sounds from anywhere.

very peculiar rattle

got my '06 AT/Navi December 1 and absoutely love the car. After 4000 miles, I only have two complaints.

The wheels are soft, I've already scuffed the front left and rear right, but it's my fault, and a digression from this thread.

The other is a strange rattle that I haven't been able to pin down yet. It sounds like it's coming from the gear shift (or under it) at 3500 RPM and above during hard acceleration. I thought it might be the shift gate rattling against the console, but i'm not sure. It occurs in either fully auto or sportshift.

I have no idea how concerned I should be because I can't tell if it's just cosmetic or mechanical. I'm waiting for my first Maint minder to schedule service and tell the dealership about it.

06 alabaster silver w/ navi here!1000 miles rite now. No major rattles, only 1 from the passenger side side pocket, no big deal. I do however have the 1500 rpm and around 2200 rpm vibration in the pedal/floor sadly. Too lazy to bring it in but i'll mention it when i have my first oil change. Any other 06 owners with this vibration??

Handling in the car is pretty good. Better than i expected and holds on corners very good and will be even better with better griping tires. Engine is super smooth above 2500 rpm but below that i have that pedal vibration that drowns out that smoothness.

06 WDP/Navi purchased on 12/26/05. About 460 miles on it right now. Installed a clear bra, navi protective film and getting all season floor mats, trunk tray and mud guards this week.

So far it's been wonderful. It's so comfortable that I wish my commute to work was longer!!

No rattles to report of aside from an occasional click here and there

I'm not getting the pedal vibration but I might be getting driveline vibration in the steering wheel although it hasn't been consistent.

One issue to note is that my XM radio will cut off occasionally, radio,CD and everything else are fine. The only way to get it back is by shutting off the car and turning it on again. Anyone else seeing this?

Ive had my 06 anthracite with Navi for 3 weeks now. No complaints, the fuel milage is getting better by the tank. Only one rattle and I found that at about 145km hour...pushed the pedal to the floor and the metal trim around the shifter rattled.
Tommorow Im having a sub box and amp put in.

I get the steering wheel vibration as well, along with the pedal. Its just that the pedal vibration is very noticeable than the steering wheel vibration.

Do you mean you XM just completely stop working. I have my XM cut off but only for a few seconds then comes back. I dont hae to turn the car off. It happen a few times when im traveling on the highway with over passes. You might have to get it check if u have to restart ur car just to make it work again

Three weeks with the TL and at 360 miles on the odometer.
I thought I had a rattle in the center console but I discovered it was my sunglasses in the little pocket in the center console. So no rattles so far.
Ragarding the XM. Yes I have had a similar problem once where my XM would sound like it is cutting out and wavering (a hint of sound and then cuts out with static repetitively on all channels) until I restart the car. Shutting off the radio does not help. What is that all about????

Its a 2005, but our 6MT with 9000 miles on it has had zero problems or rattles in 9 months.

2 months and 2K miles

No Rattles, car still solid, the right foot gets rather toasty with the heat from the amplifier module.

Still getting used to the blind spots.

Yep XM stops working completely. No static, no sound, just silence on all channels. Happens even on a wide open highway with nothing but blue sky above me. I noticed that it happens as I'm switching channels. This is the *only* problem I've had so far.

My AT/navi was the first 2006 model delivered by the the dearler 3 months ago. It had to go back after a few weeks to fix drifting to the right. Tires were rotated and problem has gone away. So far no rattles, vibration, or hesitation.

However I can't find the XM button (oops it's a Canadian model), and the navi is slow to boot up (all the other Honda products have the newer processor).

Totally satisfied.

Had this happen once to me, about four weeks ago... I got the car during the first week of Dec. After restarting the car, it worked again.

drifting to the right was solved by a tire rotation? ! What tires are they putting on the 06... I thought they learned their lesson from putting crappy tires on...

They are the Michelin MXV4 and the handling is acceptable in dry, wet, and snow. Don't know about ice. It is possible that the tires are unidirectional and were mounted in the wrong direction.

My '04 TL only has 7000 miles, so obviously I don't drive it very often, but I've got NO rattles or any other issues with the car. I did have the battery go dead a few days ago, but when I realized that it's been almost 2 months since I've driven the car, I really can't blame the car for my stupidity. It's been a great car so far.

I thought I had a drivetrain vibration also, but it turned out to be tires. Get a Road Force balance job. My 06 is now vibration free and rattle free.

Got my 06 Alabaster silver auto with nav about 3 weeks ago.The only rattle I've noticed is on certain songs the rear deck will rattle.I also had the XM problem. It started cutting out, then nothing(static, noise, etc.)Turned the key off, then on and it worked fine. Kind of annoying, hope it doesn't do it again.Other than that I'm lovin the car.

I've had mine three weeks now (WDP/Auto/Navi) with no problems. I'm convinced it's the best car value in this price category.
