Have some of the problems concerning the TL such as window scratching, vibrations, alignment, etc been fix in later Vin #s or what? Do any of you guys with higher number vins experience the same problems?
I'm purchasing a TL in the next month (God willing) I've put a deposit down on a Anthracite/Ebony/Navi/5At with aero-kit, bsm, & deck lid spoiler. Therefore i just wanted to know if i should expect the same problems that people with early build numbers have experienced.
Thanx in advance for any info.....

Good afternoon King George,
Update time. Just broke the 600 mile break-in barrier. No issues in my car that have been noted in the many threads. Have not noticed the vibration issue, the memory seat is working and no flat feel in the tires yet. The only issue that is present is the Sulfur smell issue occaisionally. Every day I enjoy the car even more than the day before. I saw your other post too. Be patient, it is worth it to save the $$. Besides you may get lucky and have the car come in earlier as it did for me.

Hope to pick up my TL in the next few days. My 6MT was shipped on 12/11. I will be doing a thorough inspection and test drive and will be looking for any of the early build problems. My vin is 17984 and should show any early build problem resolution (or non resolution). I have the HPT so vibration issues might not be relavent to those with the EL42 's.

We're coming up on 400 miles on #15924 and so far haven't noticed any of the issues brought up on early builds. I do feel more roadway imperfections on surface streets. In reading the threads on this forum, I guess we've become sensitized to the imperfections. I don't remember feeling these things when driving my other cars, but I have to admit I wasn't looking for anything. Freeways here have been "rubberized" in some stretches and when we're on these roads it feels like we're floating.

Bruce & others,
thanks for your posts...it really helps me feel like i'm not gonna get a car with multiple issues. I was gonna purchase the car anyways but reading these posts makes me feel a lot betta.
BTW since u guys aren't having any problems with your later VIN #s then do you think they're is still a problem with the windows scratching the tint?

I didn't opt to tint since the glass is gradiant as it is. Thus I can't speak to the scratch issues. I have been showing my car to friends since I past the break in period and the drool from each of their mouths is classic. Every day it is that much better a machine to drive. One down side is that my wife is getting jealous of it. Oh well, she will get over it (I hope).
