Price of Factory Remote Start? Please Help

Hello guys and gals, I am hopefully going to be the proud owner of an 04' Pearl White Navi TL tomorrow!! I just had a quick question as I just thought of it and the parts department at the dealership is closed. Anybody know the price of a factory installed remote start, I called the salesman just now, he says they do it, but he didn't know how much. Also, 30K OTD sound right for an 04' with 25K on it?? Thanks!!

There is no factory installed remote start... individual dealers may offer a remote start for your vehicle, but Acura as a brand does not offer it on their vehicles... Usually remote start systems are around $150 + install

Thanks for the reply. I didn't know Acura didn't do it. I assume if an Acura dealer does it though it would probably be covered under warranty. I had Circuit City put a remote start on my Mustang for $350 installed. Anybody with first had experience on having the dealer do it for you...what price you paid that is? I searched and found $450 and $500 on this site. Anybody any different?

30k for a 2004 with Navi with 25k on it is way on the high side. Please reconsider that price or go elsewhere.

If the dealer installs it, that dealer may cover any issues, but the Acura factory warranty isn't going to cover add-on mods a dealer does. Acura corporate will not stand behind an aftermarket mod that a dealer does not using Acura recommended parts.

Just get all this clear before you do anything. Don't make any assumptions.

I want whatever xtin is smoking. Maybe he means $40 OTD. Sticker on my '06 w/navi was $38k and I got it for $36k. Add tax, title and etc to that. I do think that $30k for an '04 with 25k on it is a bit on the high side. I hope mine is worth that much after 2 years.

PS - Just checked Kelly Blue Book Retail - Says $31k

Thank God you last two jumped in, because I was getting scared. 30K out the door for one with Navi is impossible to find in the Chicago area. The salesman quoted and wrote down the wrong price for me, and then I went through a different salesman because the other guy was terrible, and they said they couldn't do that on the Navi...and the other guy made a mistake, but they ended up matching the price anyway. Plus free car washes for the life I own the car and 3 free oil changes.

i was just in the rape room of my local acura dealer finalizing my deal for an '06. they asked if i want remote start & bypass alarm & he mentioned lojack for , i think $800. i hardly payed attention & just said NO. anyway you get an additional remote that u have to carry around & the TL doesnt need more than a couple mins 2 warm up.

I did buy the car...and you're right. It warms up pretty quick. The remote start is really nice on my Mustang. But I don't know if I feel comftorable putting it on the TL.
