Potential '04 SSM TL Purchase
Potential '04 SSM TL Purchase
I have been doing my research for the the past year and I am finally ready to buy. I think I already know the answer, but need some non-biased feedback.
Car in question in 2004 SSM/Ebony w/Nav one owner w/67k listed for 13.5k.
I am aware of the tranny issues, headliner, cracked dash, etc.
What is the possibility that this car would have more maintenance cost than a 05-06? What attracted me to the car was the low miles for the year model. However, I have mainly been focusing on 05-07 and WDP or AM.
Thanks in Advance
Chris

honestly for 13.5k i would say maybe look into 05s or for a little more even 06s. personally i would go for an 06 if you can swing it. if not if all the service records are available, and the car looks pretty clean to you, it may be worth jumping on it for a little less

Yea, I definitely wasn't looking for an '04, but the service records are there. I know I can get the priced reduced some, but even then I think I have already talked myself out of the car. Thanks
To be honest, I don't see a difference between the '04 and '06, with the exception of the on-board Tire pressure sensor. In my opinion, if the car has exceptional mileage for its year of production, why not do that? I purchased an '04 with 48,500 Today and payed about 16,750.

I think the car looks great... Even the mileage is a plus. Whome ever had this car drove less than 10k miles a yr. I can not see this car being abused. I say talk them down to 13k and go. Either way, good luck and keep us posted.

too bad the ad says no haggle pricing system =\ pretty lame.. but everything looks pretty goodd. Have u checked to see that all the body panels have VIN numbers? carfax and everything else looks legit. good luck!
Yea, super lame about the negotiating, doesn't mean I wont try. I have yet to see the car in person so I dont know about the VIN#'s yet, but will def. keep that in mind. Thanks.
Sold new out of Chevy Chase Acura, nothing remarkable in warranty history that would keep me from buying it. Last reported mileage at a dealership was on 5/16/08 (41535 mi)
