It was small crack for 7 years of so. Some small rock hit windshield. All suddenly last week or so it expand to 7" line. And than this weekend was snow. This morning I turned heat and I saw crack expand all along bottom of windshield at speed like 2" per second. Is it possible fix it now and was it possible to fix when it was small dot? If I would not see it happen would not believe. It is on my pickup but same for all cars and trucks.
Well it was possible repair when it was that small dot in second photo. In 7 years or so never bump in one tread at internet that small crack should be repaired or can spread. Unbelievable.
I'm roaming this planet almost 60 years and have internet from 98.. In all that times did not bump in an information that said you need to glue small damage on windshield otherwise can spread. And now when I google about it there are millions treads about it.
It would be nice to win power ball or mega millions now like pay back for my suffering. Imagine driving down highway and look at yours windshield crack spreading. You can see such things only in horror movies.
If your car insurance includes comprehensive coverage, call your carrier. They may pay for it. Even if they don't, they may be able to refer you to a glass shop (who may be able to come do the work at your location).
