Do you have scratches on your windshield?

Hi everyone,

I was driving and suddenly a couple of rocks just flew off from the road and hit my windshield when a car in front of me accelerated. It's nothing serious, those rocks just scratched my windshield. The scratches are visible but you have to focus on the windshield to notice them and can be seen from inside the car too..

I spoke to one of the windshield repair shops and they said they cannot fix scratches on windshields.. just wondering if you have had any luck or know of anything I can do to get rid of these scratches? Its nothing big and hardly noticeable, but it would be nice if I can clean them off..

Thanks.

If you find a solution let me know. My windshield is nicked and scratched due to driving on highways.

I wish I knew dude.. I'm gonna try calling some more windshield repair shops.. I just tried this thing on amazon -http://www.amazon.com/Fix-A-Windshie...5629151&sr=8-1

(Bought it from autozone)..

Believe me, it's useless piece of crap, didn't work at all. I don't know how those guys writing the reviews got it to work.. I guess they must have hired aliens from outer-space to repair their windshield with that thing..

Lets keep each other posted for solutions.. thanks for looking into this.

Talk to your dealership? I had what I thought was scratches on my windshield, the dealership was going to call a guy in to buff it out. In my case it ended up being really stubborn sap lol.

The key here is that those that write anything other than positive reviews don't last long. And, in general, negative reviews are generally not published. Negative reviews, and sometimes objective reviews, do not sell product, do not bring in advertising dollars, and leave the door wide open to lawsuits. When a reviewer writes a review that is not positive -- the review is sent to the advertiser, manufacturer, supplier, dealer, retailer, etc. with the question, "Do you want us to run this?" attached.

One of the great things about the Internet, and sites like Acurazine, is that it allows ordinary people (those that are "out of the loop"), to communicate their experience to others -- as you have done. The Internet often bypasses those that have placed self-interest above honesty, integrity, and objectivity.
