Me too!!

 

I'm surprised Anthracite is so popular. It's not very eye catching, it's not easy to clean, and it doesn't hide scratches or chips. The TL looks sharp which is why I think it needs a really bold color. If I had to rank the colors just on appearance and not take into account how hard it is to clean and so forth, my ranking would be the following:

Nighthawk Black Pearl
Satin Silver Metallic
Abyss Blue Pearl
Redondo Red Pearl
White Diamond Pearl
Desert Mist Metallic
Anthracite Metallic
Deep Green Pearl

Not trying to start a color war. I just find Anthracite very bland. I love my NBP, even if is a pain to keep clean.

While pre-ordering my car, I changed my color 3 times, from DMM -> AM -> ABP, and finally we chose DGP, the one you dislike most.

 

Sorry. I miss the emerald green they had on the last TL, although I don't know how it would look on this TL.

 

Don't worry, no big deal. One of those colors has to stay at #8.

 

I bought ABP/Quartz and was told by my dealer that it was the most rare according to Acura. I ordered mine with NAV & 6MT in June 04 and had to wait until Sept 04 to get it. Was told that Acura builds their cars in batches, and ABP was super rare they were going to run it as the last of the 04 model year. I remember posts in this board of others who waited many many more months than that to get their ABP.

And yet, ABP is not even the most rare color in the survey. I love the color, certainly don't see many more ABP on the road as you do the other colors. I might have bought Anthracite if it wasn't so popular.

LOVE my Redondo Red and Camel interior. I drove 150 miles to get the car of my dreams because the local dealership only carried the colors that would appear in a black and white movie - black, white, gray, silver. I wanted something that appeared on the color wheel!

I also wanted a camel interior because, living in the South, a black interior would cause my passengers, possessions and me to either melt or flambe.


I am extra pleased that the red is not a fade-prone "fire engine" red, but is not a Buick maroon either.

So why do you think DMM is the least popular? I think the TL looks great in gold. Of course, NBP looks best which is what I ended up getting. Does DMM just make the TL look more conservative?

I just bought a 05 TL in Diamond Pearl White w/ Quartz interior and it looks awesome!! Tinting the first4 35% and the rear 20% - It should make the color look even better!!

 

Anthracite metallic all the way.

Still, we have more AM owners than any other colours this month...

 

Wish those poll results reflected the colors in my area...I've seen one of every color, but on a regular basis, I see WDP...there are a couple of NBP's where I drive, but mostly WDP...drives me up a wall! I've got to get some wheels or something...starting to feel like I drive a fleet car...

 

LOL, ... at least you cannot find the rental like this...

Maybe some people didnt want exciting, but just sleek or sophiticated...

also some people choose silver cuz it looks super clean, and is easy to maintain

 

I saw 5 TLs in Houston so far... 4 of them are all SSM, and 1 is AM... meanwhile, I saw 6 G35, too, they're all coupe...



Update: 3 more NBP and 1 DMM.

 

I think I have reached this goal now... but we should have more...

 

I'll lay great emphasis on this issue, and make US/Canadian models/colors/combos all together into POLLs for 4GTL... if I'm still alive...
