Passenger window WTF

So I rolled dow my passenger window and tried to bring it up. But it would just come up a little bit and go down again automatically. It kept doing that way for a while. I had to pull over and then try few more times and finally it went up. Not sure what’s going on, any idea ? TIA.

Whenever mine does that I simply lift the switch half way so as not to engage pinch protection and the window goes all of the way up with no issues.

when it gets cold the window channels can shrink enough to cause binding. Clean out the window channels and grease with shin etsu grease:

best to also use it on any rubber mouldings or trim, will keep them great for a very long time

Mine started doing that a couple of years ago, mostly during the colder months. Since it's only the passenger side and never the driver I attribute it to the windows not being operated much. When I run it up and down until it goes all the way up, and then a couple of dozen extras, it usually works fine for a good while afterwards. A silicone spray lubricant in the window channel also works to keep they going up and down.

I've used silicone spray lubricant on them before, works well and no greasy residue

This has worked for me, as well.
Hold the button all the way down, then all the way up and repeat a few times...

This is the "official Honda fix" - if you took it to a dealership, this is what the tech would do. Just be careful on where you apply that shin etsu, if you get it on the tracks you'll have streaks on the window for about a thousand years.

This worked when I tried. Thanks a bunch. Thanks to all who chimed in. Never a bad idea to clean those window gaskets. I’ll get it done in spring.
