P0705 code don't know what to do anymore!
Hi everyone, brand new here and having an issue with my 05 TL automatic that I just can't seem to figure out... It started with the dreaded flashing D light along with a check engine light. Code comes up as P0705 Trans Range Censor Circuit (PRNDL Input). I can clear the code but the second I shift from park to reverse, the light comes right back along with the flashing D light. For some more context, when I shift into reverse, the R AND N light come on and when I shift into neutral, the N does NOT come on. The reverse lights come on and off as they should. The car will also no shift past 2nd gear anymore. So I replaced the transmission range sensor (safety neutral switch). The problem went away for two days then came right back and now I can't get it to go away at all. Once the problem came back, I replaced the wiring harness that plugs into the safety neutral switch, that didn't help. I actually put another brand new safety neutral switch in thinking the first new one I bought might be defective, since it was fixed for two days. That didn't help. Then I replaced the 3rd and 4th tranny pressure switches. That didn't help. I'm at a loss at this point and would appreciate any input, thanks!
Check your tranny fluid meter and fill a bit more if needed. Will go away after a few drives. Give it 2 days or reset the battery connection.
I fill thru the tranny meter pipe. Screw all bolts on bottom and check connection.

If you did it yourself ensure the car gear selector is aligned to neutral, straight with the position on the neutral safety switch when installingORstraight and align the switch itself VERTICALLY to the markings. Remove everything to inspect and reinstall. If you had your old parts you can try and play if it was or wasn't defective. SLUGGISH drives after tranny change with filter on the side in engine bay.Check connection on Transmission solenoid in the picture and it has to click properly. It can be hard to notice on dirty and oily plastic connectors in picture. Clean the 3 metal pipes and screen. A good one has no gunk. Refit the gasket and screws with 2 connectors. The blinking D light is also a low transmission fluid symptom since that is not you, you have a gear problem. 😉
