Owner's Survey

According to a phone survey I just took Acura is testing the waters for the following enhancements.

Auto headlights
Auto wipers
Power rear sunshade
Heated rear seats
Turning headlights
Digital radio
All wheel drive
More horsepower

Who knows which ones they will decide on but they seem to be headed in the right direction.

Sounds good although I think we'll have to wait a few years to see those enhancements.

A number of those sound great, better not be out for 05! Not sure I know what digital radio is though. Can only make an almost perfect car better. Way to get on the ball Acura. Thanks for the update

Was this specifically on the TL or just Acura vehicles in general? Also, what is digital radio if it is not XM?

It was specifically for 2004 TL owners. I don't know about XM as we don't even get it in Canada! They went into great detail as to how much I used the navi and each feature of it, voice control, HFL, what I liked and didn't like etc.

Yeah, or is this just north of the border? I'm willing to give my phone number to Acura for the greater good.

Can you say.....all-wheel drive in '05? I can!

Those features sound great, but I don't imagine Acura can put them on the TL without the price going up several grand. For a lot of us, that might push this car out of its sweet spot.

Absolutely right. With each item they asked how much I would be willing to pay if it were included. The only one I said zero was the rear heated seats. I told them auto headlights, turning headlights, AWD and more horsepower were top on the list for me. I can live without all of them for now as the car is fine the way it is. My impression was that they were looking at 2006 or 2007 model years.

Some areas are transmitting FM in digital. I guess you'll get much better quality audio, but you'll still have to deal with the same local stations. I think (could be wrong) that some new cars already have digital radios (seems Lexus or something???).

All I gotta say is that if The new TL was RWD, it would literally clean up the market. I would love to buy a RWD Acura ...
