So i found a type s for sale for 13.5k its got 45k miles. Same color as mine, CBP. Now im debating on doing or not because of my mods, mainly the exhaust. Think i should just buy stock tips and transfer the exhaust? Because if i do buy it ive gotto trade my tl back into dealership. Or swap bumper or somthing? Im really considering it, payed about 20k for my base with 60k miles. So type s seems like a pretty good deal.
For what it is worth...I don't think I would buy it...you most likely wouldn't notice the difference in power be because you have modded yours. So why wash all that work on yours down the drain?
I could practically transfer all my mods to the new car. Just the exhaust tips would be funky. Hell i could even put my base bumper on the type s and rock my base xlr8. But we shall see, i gotta think. And also, its 1 owner, an old lady.

My question is how much do you like your current 07? Is your car paid in full and if you sell yours after taking off the mods to put them on the Type S, will it be an even money deal (you'll get at least $13.5K with selling yours?). Do you want to go through the work of modding another car? Part of me says stay with what you have and the other says if it doesn't cost you anything (as I assume you'd be selling your 07 after taking off the mods), go for the Type-S.
The $13,500 for the Type-S does sound very cheap for the year and mileage- are you completely certain it's never been damaged?
Based on your sig, your current TL is very Type-S like, so is it worth the upgrade is the main question here.

Ill see what the dealership would give for my current car. The plan is for my stepdad to buy it than ill trade in my car and give him the money back. If i could potentially save $ since this type s is 7 grand cheaper, in the long run. And i still have 2 years on my tl.
Here's your current TL's trade in value (according to KBB and with 60,000 miles- I used my zip code in NJ): $13,647
How much you owe on your car would help determine if it's worth parting out, selling the car to the dealer, and taking on the Type-S and then putting your mods on the new car.
At 19 years old, and if you're going to take a heavy loss on your 07, only to have to come up with more money for the Type-S (despite the good price), it might not be worth it.
Good luck with the decision.
